I myself am pretty much done with the game untill June now. So I decided to downloaded 6.1 of WoW and see how entertaining that is. I got minions to train and horde to slay. Have fun sitting in the mist spamming party finder.

It is about exactly this that I am concerned. I don't want to see raid teams/FCs/SERVERS demolished because some people are bored of the game and others just want to stick it out. I know that on my server where there aren't many hardcore raiders, if people from my static decided to let their sub lapse because of boredom, we would pretty much be out of luck, causing others to let their sub lapse, with a chain reaction from there.

You could take a break from the game, unsub even and come back in 3.0. I'm glad it's delayed since I have still work to do before getting there! Also it was never mentioned anywhere that it was suppose to come out in April, they only said in Spring 2015.

I suppose I may have jumped the gun when I said April, but based on a stream several months ago, they strongly implied that it would be 4-5 weeks after 2.5 part II hits that the expansion would be released. I do not believe that "April" was specifically said, but based on the timeline that they gave us for the 2.5 patches, April makes perfect logical sense.

Good points. A new primal fight that drops i130 stuff would be fun. Ultima EX maybe? I wonder if SE is scrambling to come up with some content to hold us over. 3 months is a long time to have nothing new besides a card game.

Maybe I'm just getting too old, and had my hopes crushed as a child too frequently, but when a company says "spring 2015" it means business quarter. And if a company is saying the season rather than the month, that means the game is still too soon in development to lock it into a specific month, which USUALLY means the very end of the quarter mentioned. I don't know how many times as a kid I heard "Summer 200X" and was excited to play a game during summer vacation, only for the game to be released September 15th.

As for what to do in game, I would expect late April or early June to be the arrival of patch 3.0. MMO companies typically put out the new patch a month before the expansion, so that class changes and stat tweaks can be experimented with before the new stuff is accessible. If Final Coil and WoD lockouts haven't been removed by that point, they will probably be removed then, relic item drop rates will probably be boosted again to ease the farming process and maybe there will be a relaxing of the poetic cap. Don't expect any new content, but there will probably be such small incentives to start luring people back so they are ready for Heavensward.

Tbh so long as they remove the poetics cap and lockouts on the FBcoB and WoD so we got stuff we can do to complete between 2.55 and Heavensward I would be happy enough. Nerfing the atma books from 9 to 4 as well would be nice too.

Technically speaking, SE only said that it will come in Spring 2015 with no months ever mentioned.

they did say spring but during the PAX east they gave a reason why they pushed back the date. I believe they said the goal was to have 3.0 in May but they decided to polish it up a notch.

Still, I dont worry about it, I still got a lot of stuff to do:
-Finish up big fishing (82/112)
-Work on Fenrir (164k/1m)
-Sell some stuff in the meantime
-Finish up 2nd zodiac (4/12 mahatmas)
-Max out pvp rank (44,5/ 45)
-Farm 4 more ponies
-get 4 more craft-luminaries

There are lots to do and I already am at 11/11 lucis, 2 DW weapons, lv50 all classes, full 110 gear or better, r20 companion, 101 minions...

If they aren't releasing new vanity gear for me to get next patch I'll probably cancel my subscription and wait for expansion because I feel I dont have much to do right now and im just waiting for new content.

I dislike how everybody agrees that stopping your subscription is a reasonable idea lol. it should never be a logical idea.
