thats a good thing though, right? Means you can escape an AoE at the edge of its casting and get away with it.
I figured this out naturally while playing, i didn't know there was a name for it. In some fights i feel like id be rightfully screwed without the leniency.
What lag? Where in the EU is more important than simply a generic "EU players have bad lag". Because I don't, at least not often. I have a 90ms ping most of the time (UK based player) which is not enough to feel any kind of latency problems. If I'm hit during Titan, it's because I moved too late.
If you read my post you'll see that the Titan comment was for 2.0 and if you played it then, you should have seen the lag/delay as it was programed in sever side I believe, SE since greatly lowered this, but before when added to the normal eu lag, made it pretty difficult, without know exactly when things would happen.What lag? The whole thread us based on lag (cast-clipping) and I notice a lot of lag as a blm.
Trying to dodge in a different direction to another player can be a pain too (think chains in T6), as on both players screens it looks like the other person if following you, due to this lag/delay.
Many EU players have cleared T13 (including myself) despite this, so it's obviously not a big problem for most, but it is very noticable and pretty annoying on times.

Funny how I never bothered to learn Titan skill rotations and I cleared it before the update. On topic, though. I've noticed that there can be a huge variation when you can clip the cast. For me it can vary betwixt 0.1 to 0.5 seconds during one fight, and I don't notice any increase of latency or difficulty of dodging mechanics at the same time.

Same here, but after patch uh 2.35 I think game got unplayable without wtfast for me.
I get to slide cast with like 0.300-0.200 now though just to be on topic.

Mine is around 0.400 and with a latency (from CONSTANT ping test to SE servers) around 38-50ms.
Slide casting is probably THE SKILL you have to master completely to be a good mage - proper rotations aside. It's what enables me to do skyrocket up to almost 500 on T11 on good procs. ;_;
How can u slide at 0.400 with 38-50ms ping? My ping is usually 80-100ms but i should slide at 0.300, 0.400 will cancel the cast D:

Speaking of Cast Clipping, I really hate that AoE's queue damage before the animation activates. It's exceedingly deceptive. Might have taken a lazer in T11 to the face today because I was out of the animation but not the AoE indicator (or so the server says).
