So, recently SE "Buffed" SMN by reducing the mp cost of ruin and ruin II , any SMNs out there can tell me if there is even any difference? Because to me it didn't really make a difference. It just made Sch more DPS friendly

Thanks read it a little, I'm going to say SE had given SMN nothing but stupid buffs
Np. I don't play SMN, but from what I have read from others they seem to not bottom out on their MP so quickly anymore. That being said, the increase in Ruin 2 spam only accounts for ~5 dps increase or something.
It's certainly not what most folks were hoping for, but it's definitely increased both DPS and sustainability. Between that and replacing Dreadwyrm book with Zeta, my DPS in Final Coil has jumped by about 20~30 on each turn.
I also noticed a solid 25-30 DPS jump on all turns. The sustainability especially noticeable where I can now swap egis mid-fight and still be perfectly fine. No Energy Drains need unless under extreme circumstances.
It's good to note that with better gear fights become shorter thus even further eliminating smns mp issues with phases being pushed quicker and quicker.
This honestly benefits SCHs more than it does SMN
Even before SCH only gain mana while doing dps because they have energy drain in their dps rotation and they do not use that much ruin because they have aero in their dps rotatio so I do not think that affect so much SCH at all.
Yeah, I can appreciate this especially for T13 where I SC Garuda during Divebombs in preparation for the add phase with Twintania.

I'm curious if anyone can tell if SE further buffed the effect of INT/DET on pets. Which may account for some of the DPS increase.
I ask because I was trying to determine the stat weights of Pets because I thought it would be worth while to calculate SMN/Pet separately.
For Ifrit I came up with something that looks like this.
MD 2.5
INT 1
DET 0.25
Crit 0.09
SPD 0
I didn't do much pet stat specific testing prior, but currently it looks like INT/DET give huge gains for Ifrit.
Calculations
1 - MD 1% Damage Increase
2.5 - INT 1% Damage Increase
10 - DET 1% Damage Increase
28 - Crit 1% Damage Increase
-------------------------------------------------------
I've slowly been working towards this gear set.

Which I used my Ifrit Stat weights for, just to see what kind of damage I see. Probably pointless, but since Expansion isn't till June.....may as well play around.
Plus I'm curious how high I can push Ifrit's Damage.
