War - St vs Crt & Det??

Curious about my fully melded 110 wootz armor vs ilevel 130 upgraded fending body armor. Wootz has 24 St, 12 Det and 12 crit (among other stats). Just considering damage, is that better than the fending that has a huge str boost to 50 but no crit or det? Assuming I don't need the accuracy, which is better for DPS? In short is 50 St better than 24 st, 12 crit and 12 det?

Wootz fully melded is nice but for war you can get the WoD body and its better than wootz or full upgraded iron works

Considering 1 Det doesn't give nearly as much damage as 1 Str, and has nothing to do with block/parry strength (i.e. how much damage is mitigated per block or parry -- though it might be only block strength, am a bit too tired to remember correctly atm), I'd say 26 Str is a lot more than 12 det/12 crit.
Numbers I've seen say that around 3 det = 1 str. So those 12 det should be around equal to 4 str. Crit is less certain, especially depending on whether it's a Warrior or a Paladin and how you use Defiance (each Wrath stack grants bonus to crit rate), but around 4-5 crit = 1 str afaik. So those 12 crit equal around 2-3 str.

So to sum it up, your wootz armour has an approximate str value of 30-31. Plus less vitality -- more vitality from armour means more accessories you can switch out to dps accessories (or, if you go with crafted accessories, how many stat points you can respec from vit to str).

Ok thanks. Will check into that, I think I can even push it to the upgraded ilevel 130 now. So should be a no brainer.

I BELIEVE. 1 STR =~ .41 det, .39 crit

So, 26 STR would be the equivalent of about 65 crit/det combine assuming they are in equal quantities.

Assuming you don't have an Accur problem if you take off your Ironworks chest for WoD. Dread Chest and Legs are likely BiS depending on your healers and what your max HP can drop down to.

Accuracy food solves most problems (which will only really occur in 12 and 13), it takes a lot of acc dumping on other pieces to need the 33 acc from augmented body. Augmented body also isn't your best option for acc as it comes with parry, so basically a wasted second secondary stat. If it's necessary for your build to have it, though, it's not necessarily a bad thing. Depending on what you're working with, it's possible you'll get more Det/Crit elsewhere that you can afford through that 33 acc.

I'd use a 130 over 110 no matter what the secondary stats are.

I can't find the thread, but there is a forum post stating calculated CRIT/DET weights for a warrior. IIRC both were worth about 0.2 of a STR point, with DET worth slightly higher.
