Release Dates Released for Heavensward!

Final Fantasy 14: Heavensward will release on June 23. Early access to the expansion will be available beginning June 19 for those who pre-order.

Pre-orders for all versions will begin on March 16.

I am excited and definitely pre-ordering the full CE. I was also very glad to see their three options for buying - either standard without any bonuses, a combo pack of CE and full game or CE with physical goods. Perfect choices.

The developer also plans to release benchmark software next month. This will help players see how well their systems will be able to handle the expansion's improved technology.

Most systems today can handle almost every game out there, and with how easy FFXIV is on performance compared to most other games, I highly doubt players will be effected too much by the expansion. However it's awesome that they give us this tech so we can preview the performance and make tweaks to our hardware ahead of time if we're not satisfied. Thanks, SE!

During the panel, Square also revealed that Final Fantasy 14 will finally be making its way to Mac with the expansion pack's launch.

Ugh. Maybe they didn't realize Macs are for Graphic Designers, not gamers. But . . . . I won't hold it against em if you don't LOL.

Physical collector's Edition hopefully, has the price / contents been put up officially yet? I checked SE's store, Gamestops and Amazon, none of them had the CE listed

Physical CE.

I'm not sure how physical copies will handle early access, though, unless we preload the entire thing from their servers and the disk is just for archival purposes?

I hope they release a Digital CE version if not, I'll get the stand alone copy of course preordered!
I'm looking forward Astro! Also exploring all the new sones!

Going by the last few CEs I've gotten from Square, I think $70-80 is a more likely estimate.
