Optimus GT 555M crashes and flickering cursor.

So for the most part as long as I have the game in fullscreen it runs fine but I have a few issues...

In window mode, I will get random "Direct x device not found" crashes.

In both window and fullscreen the mouse cursor hand will flicker between a hand and an arrow. Also, I get some screen tearing.

    Suggestions?

So if I disable DWM I have to disable aero to get this to work. Can you give some insight to this logic?

Aero is done by the IGP and the game uses the GT555M. But DirectX also uses Aero for VSync and displaying the rendertarget. This can randomly cause memory access errors which normally get cought by the application. But ffxiv doesn't handle a lost device at all.

I ended up fixing the problem without having to do that however I still have the blinking cursor which goes from the hand to the arrow nonstop.
