^You're just jumping to conclusions and assuming that they don't. Again, these things take a lot of time to look into.

At the same time, the report I pasted was just from 1 week (actually 6 days). Clearly they are doing something, no?

Just because someone doesn't get banned the moment you report them - or even a week later - doesn't mean that someone at SE isn't looking into or won't look into it.

I don't think that they aren't doing anything. I think they are not doing enough. Some alternative ideas like an account wide blacklist or limiting the amount of characters a single account can delete in a day should hopefully be considered.

SE's actions are taken too infrequently and too late.
I'm sorry, but I think you are not only wrong, but wrongly assigning a motive to SE that does not exist. It has been pointed out many, manytimesthat bots are not removed so that the SE teams can trace to the main RMT accounts and ban *them*. In otherwords, the bots are turned on their masters. To say they're doing nothing, or implying that they turn a blind eye to benefit from the bot accounts ignores the truth. Rather than blaming SE for having difficulty in preventing RMT, why not put the blame where it truly belongs, on the shoulders of players who are buying gil.

There's only so much you can do when you ban people, as they can just merely purchase another copy of the game.

Agreed, this would greatly increase the success of the blaccklist, and also drastically increase the number of accounts RMTs would need since they would not be able to churn through many characters on the same account.

i never jumped to any conclusion, assumed anything, or said SE wasn't doing anything about it. i wasn't blaming SE for anything either, or assigning motive to anything. i never said anything definite. but the fact-of-the-matter is is that the actions they do take are too infrequent. they are too infrequent to even so much as gate the problem. unless they start taking the RMT'ing more seriously, it will be forever out-of-hand.

I haven't seen the bot FC farming shards in North Shroud on Balmung for a little while, that's a good sign at least.

All the holy and aoeing every time I ran through there was really getting annoying.

I'm just posting here since the RMT's on Midgardsormr are just going all out. I literally cant go 5 minutes without having to put one on my black list. I have filled/cleared/re-filled/cleared etc countless times. Only getting worse as time goes on. But I do have a suggestion to Square on what they should do besides what has been mention in this thread thus far. Dont allow players to trade gil in mailbox or between players themselves. Putting a "limit" on it wont matter if all they have to do is just send more than one mailbox message or something. Yeah, that might be an issue, but it will keep them from being able to do what they do (RMT's).

If not that, then how about banning VPN's that they are using to connect to the game. Doing simple things you can find out that these sites are not in the US, Europe, Japan. Not sure if this game is region locked or not, like some other MMO's but if it is, that means they make use of VPN's, if that's the case there are very limited amount of "free" VPN IP's out there, ban those. Something along those lines could work, but not something SE would prolly wanna do.

Since SE logs EVERYTHING in this game (yes that includes raids/dungeons mail etc) why not trace the accounts (i think this was mentioned) that are having ludacris amounts of gil being sent through mailbox? Find those characters and if not ban them outright, warn them that they are going to get banned if they are shown to be doing illicit activites again. Since they can't seem to stop the gil sellers from actually doing this stuff, why not get rid of the people causing them to be going all crazy with the advertising? It's simple, servers that have huge amount of RMTs, constant spamming, friend requests from them, typically means that those servers have ALOT of people buying gil. Pretty obvious in my opinion.
