Specialist System in 3.0

You need to get through Stone Vigil (around 41) to do Ixali dailies. Initially though, I just made it though the first 3 dungeons and Ifrit. It makes for a nice quick daily low level roulette, and that's when you join a GC for daily GC supply/provisioning, retainers, and chocobo.

Well, I don't think Ixali tribes will actually be too important once expansion hits.. Also, the sealants simply aren't worth the grind imo.. I just buy mine when I need it and it comes out to about 30k per oaknot.. I'd like to think of it as skipping a quest for 30k gil.

The first 20 levels worth, untill all the features like GC and retainers are unlocked. It's also worth picking up either a tank or healer for faster queing, but as you will spend a lot of time crafting anyway it's not needed per se.

As for story related gating into Ishgard, I suspect it will be required for all characters, crafters or not. So it's probably a good idea to get those out of the way if you have the time/will to do so.

Note on the alts: if you plan on leveling multiple ones for Heavensward, its a good idea to get the above features done on all of them first. That way you can do Roulettes/GC and save up leve allowances on all of them at once, which will save you a lot of realtime. The leve allowances especially is important to get started asap.

Also it's worth noting that you need to unlock each levemete you plan on doing courier leves at.

The Ixali daily turn-in is nice exp, as are the 5 other daily quests. They'll make for good exp from 50-60 once the expansion hits. Plus with the main story being a gate to Ishgard, it's worth finishing getting it done in case something nice is hidden behind them.

I had my mules still just after Ifrit when they released sealant, and got them up through Stone Vigil fairly quick. I was going to save the huge pile of quests for exp when they raise the level cap, but I'm just gonna spend some time the next couple weeks getting them caught up.

I have my preferences changed to show more posts per page than default. Didn't occur to me the link I took wouldn't work for those with different settings. Second link works on mine as well. Thanks.

Poorly worded question. Won't be address because it results in a yes or no answer. I don't know when the live letter is or when they pick question but i would suggest rewording yours.

BAD
Example: How was your day? Answer: Good

GOOD
Example: What did you do today? Answer: Won't stop talking and tells you about his/her day.

I posted another question along the same lines as yours on the last page, although mine is probably too long and won't be read out.

Crafting is way to hardcore as it is, a game shouldnt be that. i play a game to have fun, not punching a kitten for not able to craft a damn gear

How it goes is this: All crafting can go to up to 60. (Fishing is not bound by this and other gathering does not have any levelling.) Every craft is capped every ten levels until you do the uncapping quest with a guildmaster. You have a total of forty "master levels". You can only have forty levels above 60 over all skills (except fishing). You can put them all into one skill and level that skill to 100. Or you can level four crafts to 70. Or any other distribution of the forty you want, but generally you'll portion the levels out in chunks of ten because that's how the caps work. If you level a skill and already have 40 levels above 60, you will delevel a random skill. So you don't uncap skills you aren't going to level; this prevents you from levelling a skill when you don't want to. You can also talk to guildmasters and reset your cap (and your skill) back to 60 if you want to reallocate.
