    Hi Grekumah,

Thank you for responding on this topic; it's something a lot of players really care about. As we have seen with many other facets of the game in the past, Yoshi P and the Dev Team have been willing to listen to feedback and reaction from the customers. So if you could, can you please pass along our worries about Specialization? We're hoping this feedback reaches them *before* they decide on potentially Locking Out / Restricting Players. Specifically:

    * While details might still be up in the air, please let Yoshi P know about our concerns with a Crafting Lock Out-type Specialization System:

    * It may sound neat on paper, but forcing Specialization (and Locking Out Players from getting Max Level / Recipes in ALL Crafts) really goes against the inherent nature of Final Fantasy XIV:

*** A promise to be able to achieve all things (Jobs, Quests, PvP, Gold Saucer Chocobo Racing Mastery, Triple Triad, etc.) all on ONE character.

    * Specialization w/ a Lock Out / Restriction absolutely will cause Market issues. On Low or Medium Population Servers especially you can end up having very few Specialists, which make a Monopoly / Inflated Prices. It forces others to then *have* to go after that specific Specialization to save money or balance things out.

    * Ask the Dev Team to analyze how few players actually have ALL the Lucis Tools at this point (very few). Ask them to consider that it's better to have an OPEN Crafting System, and that the time / hassle will *inherently* "gate" players and they'll only bother getting 1 - 3 Crafts to Max anyways. But at least it allows a dedicated player to earn their way to Max Crafts / Recipes in All Jobs if they choose.

And that's what Final Fantasy XIV has always been about, right?

    Thanks~
