They talked, and shown a lot for the machinist and dark knight but we still have no clue what the astrologian is going to do, all we have heard is that they have 2 stances.

I just got out of work, what has been said about Astro so far? Anything at all?
I would have loved more info or a gameplay about that class as well.. I'm kinda disappointed.
It'll be interesting is 1 stance allows you to use certain cards for certain effects. Think WAR's defiance mixed with Cleric Stance. If an astrologian is using this stance they can attack at the cost of reduced heals.
Anyways, we really don't know how it'll work. It'll be nice interesting if the cards work like NINs mudras
I hope there's an option to skin the cards used in your ability animations with one of your TT decks.
Given that they'll need some way to deal damage when soloing I'd say it's a safe bet that the stances are 'healing' and 'damage' stances. I suppose it may have more complexity than the Cleric Stance toggle though since the implication is that they have two skills for stances as opposed to a single on/off toggle. In the presentation they teased that they were going to go into the stances later in the video but then they completely forgot to do so...
I'd like to know more too. I might be switching to it for my raid. That or I'll be switching between AST and SCH depending on which is more useful for a fight.
I hope it turns out to be a "on the run" healer with smaller burst than SCH or WHM. And that it has more buffs like, for example, a 5-10 second movement buff during combat.
Stances make me think they decided not to make the cards a random factor.
Since when they first introduced Astrologian the idea was cards would have two effects and that there would be a way to manipulate those effects.
Now it sounds like rather than make it a game of chance of getting one effect or the other you can switch stances to use the card you need however the card you draw might still be random.
So it could be something like You draw a card, it has no effect til you go into the yin, or yang stance and then you stay in that stance every card will have the yin effect until you decide to change it.
The factor with stances might be either a huge MP consumption to switch between stances or a long cooldown to switch between them so that you can't just freely pick the effects of your cards.
