Openers only vary with when people prefer to use Rouse/Spur (e.g. pre-pull or just after Bio> Miasma > Bio II), but you opener can change as well if you're party is using a pull macro (i.e. Shadowflare placed at least 5 seconds before the actual pull is iniated), or the boss is stationary, meaning you have to swiftcast Shadowflare toward the end of your opening rotation.
[BOSS ENCOUNTER OPENERS]
w/ a pull macro:
Pre-cast Shadowflare > Raging Strikes > HQ X-pot of INT> Bio II > Miasma > Bio > (wait a moment for Bio to register on you target/ sprint to within melee range) > Fester > Miasma II* > HQ Potent Poison Pot* > Contagion > Ruin II > Spur > Rouse > Ruin II > Enkindle > Fester > Ruin spam & Book auto attacks**
w/o a pull macro:
Raging Strikes > HQ X-pot of INT> Bio II > Miasma > Bio > Swiftcast > Fester > Shadowflare > Miasma II* > HQ Potent Poison Pot* > Contagion > Ruin II > Spur > Rouse > Ruin II > Enkindle > Fester > Ruin spam & Book auto attacks**
* You need to be within melee range and is only a slight dps increase.
** You also need to be within melee range and again is only a slight dps increase.
{You may want to omit Miasma II, Poison pots, as well as auto attacking in melee range till you feel entirely comfortable with the rotation and/or the encounter}
[PET USAGE]
Ifrit-Egi
Advantages: Higher dps output (Egi only) than Garuda.
Disadvantages: Dps downtime when travelling to target.
Benefits from a Monk's Dragon Kick, as well as Warrior's Storm's Eye debuffs.
Garuda-Egi
Advantages: Contagion (allows for more Ruin spam/ movement if needed), almost non-existant movement.
Disadvantages: Lower dps output
Benefits from Foe's Requiem.
I know there are more potential 'advantages/ disadvantages' than the one's listed above (e.g. DoT's falling off at less than optimal timings, Pet AoE range concerns), but I just kept it to encounter-general sense. Anyway, with much less concern for MP now, you can use Ifrit-Egi for all of FCoB (only needing to switch him out for whichever node your dps'ing in T11.
