    Yes we will definitely get more Allagan stuff. Of course since most of those likely resurfaced because of the calamity it also means we still didnt escape the legacy of Nael van Darnus

    I haven't played much past the opening of VI, but, from what I've gleaned, I wouldn't be surprised to see those statues being used as a power source for someone. My question is, who are the 'espers' this triad created in FFXIV? Ascians, Primals, The Twelve or all of the above?

    I'm tempted to say that the floating continent may be a remnant from the first Astral/Umbral era. You know, when Gods walked the planet and then promptly got into a fight.

    Specially if those statues ARE the warring triad from ff6 that does lead weight to my theory that this floating land is the remains from that first Umbral era.

    Except that the Allag weren't present until the 3rd. The Allag likely found the statue-fied Triad during their height, moved them to this ship/landmass and raised it from the ground.

    Has it been confirmed that the island is Allag in nature or are we just assuming it is because it looks similar? It's entirely possible the Allag stole/adapted technology they unearthed from the 1st Astral era.

    That is one possibility. Following the FFVI plot, the espers (ancient primals?) moved the sealed Triad to a "hidden land" which was later found by the Allag, who used what was found there to create magitek. This could have happened in the First Umbral, when the 'gods' left Eorzea.

    If you look closely the floating island is chained/anchored to something. Perhaps to prevent it from floating too high and into space?

    It looks as if it's also connected to other floating islands. Perhaps it is truly Allagan - a research station tethered to its subjects, from whence the statues came.

    Looking at it, I'm wondering if the structure is actually Allag... Allag in origin, sure, but perhaps some of it is of Garlean design? I mean, we've started incorporating Allag technology into our equipment. Stands to reason the Garleans, with a must vaster force, would be doing the same...

    Main reason I'm thinking this is because of this;

    99% sure that they're just reusing models (the tower/pylons also look just like the Garlean ones, but with an Allag skin on them) but that shape reminds me a lot of the Garlean Airships we had flying around before Dalamud fell... The trio which flew around everywhere, including Coerthas... Probably nothing though...

    I had the same thought. Looking at the FFVI plot it says that the espers (primals? The Allag did play around quite a bit with them) were the basis for Magitek, but who's the major user of Magitek?

    This led me to thinking about how the Garleans may have either stumbled upon this place after the fall of the Allagan Empire or maybe, just maybe they inherited it. We do have a few Garleans claiming to be Allagan decendants... This would also explain Garlemald's b-line for the Crystal Tower - they knew exactly what it was.

    Kefka is Garlean!
