I am on Odin and it is far from being horrific. RT performs just fine. The game is at its worst during FATE's such as Odin and S rank hunts. I have been impressed with how well Gold Saucer performs on PS4.

I don't have issue or notice any issue with Ps4 in crown area even GS day 1 or Odin fate or S rank. However I personally don't afk in crown area like GS or rev or in any main city, both Ps4 and PC (yes, I play on both platform). Also, how do you check DPS on ps4 ? I don't remember see that on Ps4 system

I watched tests of ssd on PS4 and its not faster at all, maybe a few seconds but the PS4 seems to be hardware limited so SSD's have little effect on the PS4, seems 7200RPM is also little better than a 5400 rpm, seems to be the way they optimized the loading? (BF4 on my PS4 takes 20 seconds to load a map, on my PC HDD 4 min, SSD 1 min) That's why i upgraded my PS4 HDD to a 2TB 5400 one and it's awesome.
I'll make a video to show the lagg on PS4 in 10 min and you can see how chronic it really is, i have a GTX 970 on my PC and on normal NPC quantity i'm lucky if i get 30 fps in Mor.

Well there's ways to do it like digital foundry on yotube etc, or you can load up the PC version, limit the fps to 30, then compare it and feel it on PS4, when you run like a slide show in MOR you know the fps is under 20, 25 fps is relatively smooth, 30 is very fine and anything under 20 is a pain to watch, ill make a video BRB.I don't have issue or notice any issue with Ps4 in crown area even GS day 1 or Odin fate or S rank. Your FPS has nothing to do with your connection. I have both a PC that runs XIV on max settings with 60fps everywhere except crowded cities (which makes it about 40), and a ps4. The ps4 suffers from FPS issues, only marginally.

Yea i got Sky Fiber 55 mb/s and 15 mb/s upload, The PS4 version would prob run MUUUCH better if the PC density were turned down just 1 noth from e.g. high to normal or whatever, i do think the PS4 handles people alot better than the PC though, the PC with the same amount of PC'S on screen seems to run much worse than the PS4, this is why i think the PS4 would be soo much better if they just turned it down a bit, i don't need to see 100 people in my vicinity, 50 would still be plenty.

Those who do have the issues it is your connection. I too have not had such issue splaying on PS4, PS3 on the other hand was ..... yeah

I dont have network lag, i have FPS lag, and this game is not FPS server side dependent like games such as Arma 3, this video i'm linking is just an example of what i mean, this is about 1/4th of the players here when prime time tonight, ill make another then, but as you can see without feeling it the low fps, that's ~20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTz7...TFRKjV8vt_-ZzQ
I've got the same problem on my ps4. Not only in crowded areas - also in forest, desert, only in one direction, and when other cast at FATE. And this is not the network lag, ping is ok.

It's always hard to stabilize MMO's on console because one minuet there can be nothing and the next tons, but FFXIV has the option to stop this by turning off 100 people down to 20 for example, this is AMAZING and makes the game playable even on old computers, the problem is they refuse to add it to the PS4, so when we are in a gfx demanding area, with 100+ people on screen it goes to sub 20 fps, i would be happy having 60 fps on PS4 at all times and only seeing up to 30 people.
I think i know why they don't because they don't want people to rely on playing it on lower gfx setting thus making people think the game can't handle ffxiv or something making the game optimization look bad, but guess what laggy 15 fps is bad and it frustraits people like me.
