Option to queue for 8v8v8 or 24v24v24?

After quite a few games of Slaughter [and maybe one Secure since Slaughter came out], I feel that we should be given the option to queue for either 24 man OR 72 man for both Secure and Slaughter. Having the option available in the Duty Roulette would be rather nice since it's sort of annoying queuing and randomly getting 8v8v8 or 24v24v24 even after a long string of one or the other. (sometimes we get 5+ 24 mans in a row... and then all of a sudden we get a loooong wait time and a 72 pops)

Is it possible to add this option to the Duty Roulette much like how Wolves Den has multiple options to queue for?

To me, it also feels like 72 man is the perfect number for Secure, while 24 man is much more fun and less annoying to handle in Slaughter.

The problem I see with this, is that people would just que for the option that grants the quickest ques, which would most likely be 24x. You wouldn't see much of 72x, simply because it takes longer to que for that, and you have a lot of people who que for pvp who don't want to do it, such as glamor seekers, nexus light farmers, and tome farmers.

Not to mention depending on what data center your on the GC populations are lopsided. It could just make queing that much longer.

I totally get why someone would want this. Heck I miss 72 man secure, that sure was fun wasn't it? Back when we had it, I mean. So many solutions we come up with though are us trying to come up with different ways to work around the one thing that is the ultimate reason for so many problems... the GC locked queueing. Someone might ask what that has to do with whether we get 24 man games, or 72 man games... but it's the reason for waiting due to uneven GC registrants, and endless waits to get matched up with the right party size in your GC only rather than a party in another GC that would be a perfect fit. And it's why people give up and quit if they know they'll be matched up with an inferior team based on which one is dominant on their data center.

Having the GC restriction in PVP is like having a malfunctioning traffic light installed at an intersection where none is needed, and when gridlock ensues we all try to find different routes around it because of general acceptance that the traffic light must belong there.

I understand that it could probably completely ruin queues more than they already are, but it is still nice to have the OPTION to do so.

I'm not saying that its a bad idea, cause I actually like the idea to que for nothing but 72 man secure, but with GC restrictions I don't think its possible. It wouldn't go over well unless we have a overhaul of the pvp queing system. I can't see that happening any time soon

They were aiming for the stars with secure/slaughter 72 man queues (Alterac Valley status in WoW) which was a mistake from the very beginning. They should have realized the lack of interest for PvP while wolves den was active (which see's very little if any at all action now a days). Furthermore, expand on the reasons why PvP was/is unpopular and focus on that.

Secure is fine mostly, as is (although PvP-content being centric on PvE practices is terrible). Slaughter is a regurgitation of secure from a lazy PvP development team, and it shows. They literally took aspects of both Wolves Den (which is unpopular) and the terrible PvE aspects of secure, thru them in the same battleground map as secure and stuffed 72 people on a platform high in the sky. Knock backs are totally legit (take a note from Blizzard and remove knockbacks in Frontliens, they did it for a reason ;] ).

The complete and total removal of the Grand Companies would breath new life into frontlines - lowering queues dramatically (I speculate) because it would allow people who are deterred from queuing due to their GC sucking (flames), or not being able to queue with friends (lack of wanting to change GC's). You're bottle-necking your own content through Grand Companies, this isn't even an arguable point. I get it, lore, yadda yadda; it's irrelevant. Also, allow the group queue for the Daily Roulette (why is this not a thing?).

Sorry for going off on a ton of tangents, I am just venting some frustration for the pvp system in this game (which I would absolutely love to see addressed). All this is absolutely addressable and I believe would help way more than hurt. Overall PvP needs to be better balanced, get rid of the gimmicks, stop band-aid fixing it, and take into consideration the obvious.
