dark and light

Dear SE,
Just about all your games are about light vs dark. In FF3 we find out that the crystals will get dark warriors if light starts to take over to much. Maybe in a later expansion you could have are character fight for the dark because the light is threatening to upset the balance. We could enter another universe because Hydaelyn for see the problem knowing it could cause problems in our own universe. To save are own universe, we must become a warror of the dark.
We are currntly known as the warrors of light but if we have to fight for the dark to keep the balance while at the same time we are still a part of the light then maybe we'd be called warrors of the crystal or crystal warrors.

Not that I believe it in any way but some fans have already begun theorising that the Ascians are the warriors of darkness....

It's almost as if it's the defining theme of the series which links them all and thus gives it character.

The problems that arise when light is out of balance were teased during the Syrcus Tower quest, actually, as what began the downfall of Allag. Might've been an accident, or a case of the lore team not communicating with the event team, since the rest of the CT story went right back to the "light is absolute good" that FF3 tried so hard to subvert.

The light is good the darkness is evil, so more light means more good, more darkness means more evil so I wouldn't really want to fight for the dark side lol.

Stick to what you know, eh? This is why Gaius was such a good villain- he wasn't evil, he just didn't give a marmot's arse about darkness OR light, he just solved the problems he saw by crushing them into a fine paste. Good motivation.

That being said, considering the story events of 2.5 you might be getting what you want after all. Just be patient, this story is far from over.

There was no "dark and light" balance thing in the CT story.
Xande was pushed into a corner by the rebels and he activated the Crystal Tower. But the energy sended by Bahamut to the Crystal Tower was too much, resulted into a worldwide earthquake. The 4th umbral era began.

I hope that they'll go with too much light = not good and the right balance of both is necessary. I'm getting sick of the light=good. dark = bad.
