"Ninja Looting" Issues and how they are being handled

I don't know if this is the right place for this, but whatever I couldn't find a better forum area.

So to start this off I'm pretty sure all of us have been in a greed party for something, and maybe some of us have either "stolen" gear or had gear "stolen" from us. I know i've had plenty of loot stolen from me. Sure I was pissed off but in the end the item is something that will drop again. I would eventually get over it and find a better item.

Now my boyfriend was reported for ninja looting the Mages chest piece from the Odin primal....vanity gear, and now he is suspended for 4 DAYS. 4 DAYS PEOPLE. He had to delete the item, which is fine he could care less at this point since its been days.

Now i'm not saying he did nothing wrong, but the fact the GM didn't even tell him he was getting suspended till the very end of his "jail time" is extremely wrong. The GM gave no warning no anything. Just total suspension.

Why don't you SE people actually do something about it and add an option for the party leader of 8 man parties to block out the need or greed, if this is against your terms of service and THAT important? Instead you suspend people for days with no warning. Its ridiculous! An IN GAME item that drops over and over, its not even rare. It's worthless.

Honestly guys, ninja looting has always happened and nothing was being done about it. And now all the sudden you GM's are paying attention? People deserve at least a warning, and a flag placed on their account just in case more reports come in. But no warning was given and that's not fair. People harassing others get warnings but those who just need gear don't?!

When did using an actual option in game (NEED) become a worse crime than harassment? I'm done being upset now. *sigh*

To my knowledge, Ninja looting has always been punished if the rules are made clear in PF and chat for everyone

I guess it sucks to be suspended for 4 days, but I couldn't be more happy to read the GMs actually do something against it.

Eat the suspension or stop beeing a dick, I mean come on, you even say it was clear to him that the item was locked..

Anyways, kudos on the fem-balls to share this shameful story.

They have not always been punished, because I have reported and nothing was done about it. I got the "we'll look into it" and I see the person running around with the item. Maybe I got unlucky or didn't cry enough but whatever. What I made this post for is to bring to peoples attention that apparently harassing others isn't worth suspension only a slap on the wrist. Yet "fraud" is instant suspension. >.> both are bad but I feel like SE/GMs need to be more equal with their punishments. I have no faith in the GMs handling situations anymore....

And yes he is eating the suspension never said he wasn't and the item wasn't locked it was open loot .:P What he's upset about it missing all his Ixal dailies >< lmao. We have both agreed that instead of just getting over the ninja looting we are always going to report from now on since being an adult is too much for people. Also it seems GMs are actually taking notice more now.
