    I feel you on this, although it isn't that much for me. I will never, never make another zodiac weapon again after this, unless I can get the item in 5 runs or less. I've been grinding dungeons for a long time, I can't even get enjoyment out of gold saucer because of it. Sure its my fault for wanting to get it done, but the drop rates are ridiculous. I've had 4 dungeons that I've done close to 20 times now and still no drop, Also 5 dungeon items from finishing this quest.

    The dungeons that are taking forever to get drops from, I'm never running them again.

    It should have been defeat ??? boss from ??? dungeon x amount of times. I would have been ok with beating each boss like 5 times. I did get lucky on like 4 dungeons and went 1/1. Even then I feel it would have been faster to kill them all like 5 times.

    And this is exactly why Relics are always going to be 2nd to raid weapons. Relic stages should never have been made easier.

    Yeah as long as atma had taken me back in the day (3+ months) Zodiac is by far the most annoying and frustrating.
    RNG is horrid and why the heck do we need bomb cores and spring water multiple times.
    I almost have My Yoichi Zeta but this questline not looking forward to again for my Nin and possibly blm (down the road)

    Can't be arsed to run Aurum Vale, Sastasha nm/hm, Dzemael Darkhold and all other 30-40 min BS dungeons I hate with a passion lol.

    At least with Triple Triad I still enjoy playing that mingame (I did spend more time on TT in FFVIII than on the main game lol) AND I can slowly but surely grind towards my goals (Done with Gambler's Trenchcoat, since that damn Lightning Strikes event wouldn't come this year and I missed it, now trying to go for Claws of the Beast or Gambler's Gloves... Maybe Fenrir later)

    Almost everything that has a low (less than 25%) chance in this game should have a built-in safety net, where if you don't win after X amount (X can be a pretty high number) of times the chance becomes 100%.

    Not talking about normal loot drops but things like card drops, relic drops, etc. I think people would be so much more open to the RNG if they knew that if the RNG reeaaally hated them they'd still be gauranteed a drop after X amount of tries.
    The devs just need to ask themselves "what is the most amount of tries we want someone to have to make for this?" when designing rare drops/updates.
    They need not even tell us the number, just knowing that its there on these things would make a huge difference.

    I have to admit that has to be pretty depressing. The most I think I've had to do was around 20-25 runs and I have 4 Zodiacs (2 of which are now Zeta's).

    Was 20 + runs per dungeon for me, so this quest is just ugh..

    Most of the conversation in my FC chat seems to be complaints about the range in this game now. There should be nothing in the game with range so bad that someone can get it on the first attempt yet many people have to spend 50 hours+ grinding content to get it.

    I have personally decided that I need a break from it. I asked myself while grinding "Am I still having fun?" and the answer was "no". So when my subscription expires I am moving on to another game for a while.

    That is all well and good, but I want my item maxed now, not later when it has another stage (or whatever). If that were the case, nobody would craft or buy the meldable items, "there will be a better item next update".

    I see where everyone is coming from regarding the "best weapon" banter or whatever, but just because people have bitten the bullet and went through the absolute shit to get their weapon, doesn't make it any less of a shitty method. I get that it's an MMO and "grinding" is clearly labelled on the tin, but drop rates and luck should never be part of achieving your ultimate weapon, least of all when some people can blitz it in a day just because they're lucky, or someone will never ever get it because they're unlucky. It's just not fair for people who have to blast aurum vale for days on end.

    For me, I'm hoping that when 3.0 comes out that they decide that the entire relic questline needs to be cut down in half in order to ease people through it better. As it stands right now, going through all that content is just a pain. I want to start the SCH book but I can't bring myself to go through ALL those animus books. At this point, asking me to do three rounds of books depending on stat for an i100 is silly. Cut it down so that you only have to do one book per stat.

    When I was working on my WHM staff, the zodiac dungeon drops killed my love of any dungeon. We got some newbies running through them and we mass pulled like we were insane. I'm sure we didn't make the dungeons fun for them and we couldn't. Both of us working on it were at times 0/30+ on some dungeons. We're not helping these players through the content the way SE intended. We're dragging them along kicking and screaming half the time because the game insists we need 4 players.

    I can't stand trials anymore. The thought of light makes me sick. The RNG pain of hoping for a zodiac drop and then again as light RNG just makes me hate the game. At least the zodiac portion did it right in one way and that was so that you didn't need to stay on the required job for it to count. I couldn't imagine healing ALL those dungeons.

    As most of you has said, I hate the very thought doing that debilitating experience for another weapon, its just plain sad design. I'm sure devs will probably ignore our rant, but these kind of descisions they do and implament make opinions from players of persons behind the game. In real life I would never trust person who make those kind of descisions.
    I figure if it will not be made that relic for new jobs in expansion is shortcutted if one relic is allready obtained i will ignore the new jobs for they could not exist in the first place. To relive that shitload of grind imho must mean the one who does it is mentaly chalenged or handicaped in some way.
