It's quite true it's far from a perfect run on the wet weather race. But it is worth keeping in mind most the trouble I had that slowed me down further (having to brake for caltrops, passing the corner with the sprint pad too wide), directly stemmed from the fact I was sharing the track with the main group of racers because they were all moving faster than me without speed buffs. Whereas in normal conditions I'd have left them all in the dust by the 3rd chest; this is why headstart + chocosprint is arguably the most OP setup, as a trailblazer out the front on their own, has very little to fear from other racers and gets first pick of the chests.

Objectively the finish time is not that useful in the end, but the video does nonetheless illustrate a very stark difference in basic performance between the fair weather bird's performance in both weather types.

As for the NPCs, in the sunny weather race two of the racers were actual players
