Gerolt and the time he was ever so slightly inebriated

Greetings!
Now that level 50 relic quest comes to an end with the Zeta weapons I wanted to ask couple of things that have been bothering me since couple of patches.

We all know by now that our favorite Blacksmith likes his liquor and that he was at some point of time was married to Rowena, since he threatens her with renewal of marriage to get the Book of Netherdark.

My first question: was that Rowena showing up in Hyrstmill at the end of the The Vital Title quest? She is the obvious choice; however her attire is different than what she normally wears.

Secondly let’s talk about another character that is sharing not just Gerolt’s predisposition to hugging bottles of fiery Eorzean liquor but also his stunning looks. I am talking about Ealdwine. Now from the quest text we know that his late father, husband to Brangwine, was a treasure hunter. However the resemblance is uncanny and it is too big of coincidence that they are part of the same quest line. So I can think of these 3 possibilities.
1) I am reading too much into it
2) Brangwine’s husband is related to Gerolt.
3) Uhmm! The seed is strong.

It sure did look like Rowena. But the attire confused me and on why she was there. Maybe it was a complete different person... With the same heir cut and face ...?
For now I'll stick to Rowena however. Even though I'm not quite seeing through her actions but that just makes room for interpretations.
Was sure a big surprise to hear those both were married.
I also wouldn't discard her being Rowena just because of her choice of clothes. Rowena is I think the only NPC that's changing her clothes patch to patch. So that shouldn't be a big a deal on that matter.

On the second bit:
No clue!

Just based on appearance, I think Gerolt and Ealdwine are too close in age for Gerolt to be Ealdwine's father. Brangwine appears to be much older than Gerolt. There could be some more distant relation, though.

Gerolt promised Rowena to remarry for the book so she was in north shroud to complete the deal, so to say remarry gerolt but seeing him back to his old antics she just sighted and let him be. Such a bittersweet end.

No he threatened to remarry her if she hand the book over and she fell for it really fast, or at least that is what i understood.

When Gerolt fell on hard times, he took out loans from even Rowena, but still ended up in a situation where he was a bitter drunk reduced to repairing kettles all day to pay off tavern expenses. In 1.0, Rowena transfers his debt to her to you (in exchange for some rare beastmen items) so you'll have leverage to make him craft you the relic. Indeed, when you show up with it, he starts sobbing and promising to craft the weapon if you'll just get the papers out of his sight. The start of the story makes it seem like she's just turning a debt around and being rid of it for what little she can get, but the end of the story turns the whole thing on its head, implying that she still cared for him, never planned to call him out on the debt, and only gave it to you because she knew you'd use it to convince him to do something he loves - something that might remind him of who he is.

Rowena said she'd only sell the tome to a collector what'd pay a king's ransom fer it─till I threatened to wed her again, that is. Well, ye can bet she handed it over in a hurry after that, hehe.

I think what happened is that she was holding on to the book until it would make her a worthy profit for its potential, and Gerolt admitted he had nothing to offer her in exchange by making a self-depreciating joke about remarrying over it, thinking that the last thing she'd ever want was to be stuck with him again. So, when she handed the book over, I think she saw that he had his old determination back and thought that if anyone could bring out the book's potential, it'd be him. Gerolt, however, interpreted it as her admission that she can't be rid of him fast enough.

I think she came to Hyrstmill expecting (correctly) that he had unlocked the books secrets and (incorrectly) that it would signal a big change in him. Instead, she shows up and finds that even though he successfully reforged a zodiac weapon, he's ever yet throwing himself into a (possibly drunken, definitely petty) argument with Jalzahn over a title from a dead guy. I think she started walking away like, "What was I thinking?" but then turned and smiled because that's the Gerolt she's always known and cared for, realizing that at least he's stubbornly fighting for what he thinks he deserves, again.

Or maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic and am seeing what I think makes for the best story

A more detailed tale of what i thought it was at the end, gave me such a bittersweet feel.

Yeah the whole "threaten to marry her again" thing is really hard to understand, how can you even threaten someone with a marriage ?( except if it would be a forced marriage but I don't think anyone can force Rowena to do anything )

Unless he was drunk when he went to see Rowena and told her that and she throw a book at him to make him leave and the book was the one he wanted... ( That would be perfect in an Hildibrand quest though )

That threaten to remarry is easy to misinterpret in my head it went something like this:

Gerolt: Hey do you have the netherdark (obvious more talk in the middle)
Rowena: You would need a kings treasure to buy this.
Gerolt: Come on! I will do anything for the book, even remarry you!
Rowena: even Remarrying me?
Gerolt: Yes!
Rowena: ..... Here is the book (trying to hide her embarrassment)
