    Fresh 50, quick dumb question

So I just hit 50 and read up on all advice on what to do when.... stuck on a dumb question. I'm starting my Relic Quest. I need the Bow with 2 Materia attached (Purchased all 3). I do not have a toon with the skills to attach it. Is it like other games where I just advertise in chat then trust a random stranger with my bow and two materia, then pay em when he attaches it? Or is there an easier way where I don't have to physically give the items to another person. I have done 0 trades and I have trust issues -_-

You can do that if you wish (there's a status icon specifically for those wishing to have materia melded to gear), but you might also be able to find a weapon on the Market Board with the materia already attached, as a lot of players sell equipment pre-melded with the required materia for this reason (it's how I got the sword I needed for my Relic quest).

This might turn out to be more expensive than buying everything separately though, but it's an alternative.

You can actually "request meld" from someone, a system which lets them attach materia to an item of yours without handing anything over. I don't remember exactly where this is but it might be a right click option?

Yes. You can right click someone and choose the "request meld" option. The option will be grayed out unless that player is in the correct class that has melding abilities. This method is safe because it does not require actually trading the materias and weapon first. But you still have to provide the weapon, both materias and the catalyst.
