Addons in heavensward?

The benefit is in letting players display information the way they want it displayed. For instance, maybe I'd like my hotbars to be a shape other than straight lines. Perhaps a 3x4 box would be more useful to me. Perhaps I'd like a hotbar that only displayed 3 buttons instead of all 12. Perhaps I'd like that hotbar to be click-through. These are all highly specific preferences and not worth adding to the base UI. That's where addons come in.

You can hide unused buttons and move the bar wherever you want. I use this for my gearsets.

I do something similar to help me keep track of short cooldowns like Ninjutsu. I have one hotbar blown up so the buttons are the size of small dinner plates and I've stuck it off to the side with most of the bar hanging off the screen.

Of course I can still click those buttons, which is sometimes a problem. I'd prefer to make that bar click-through.

Actually I'd prefer to set up a custom screen element to handle that sort of thing (like WeakAuras... I loves me some WeakAuras), but currently this is the best I can do.

Can't wait for damage meters. I asked on the WoW Reddit how they felt about them and they were mostly positive. The harassment worries are very overblown. You can find that thread here:

I've been patient long enough but I'm reaching my limit where bad players are preventing me from getting further in the game. I had to wipe 23 times to Odin in Urth's Fount, not because I was bad, but because other people were bad. I don't mind carrying people through faceroll content. Eventually the ride ends for those people and they'll notice. But they're actually leaking into "hardcore" content and just preventing clears because you can't carry them.

Just being able to tell them to: "Improve on your rotation and then come back." before kicking them will feel so good.
