Combat Fade - A HUD element suggestion

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post but I didn't see any place in the forums indicating a suggestions subforum so I'll post it here and hope for the best.

I'm posting here today because of a very neat feature I saw in other games that I'd love if it was implemented here, Combat Fade.

What this does is create an option in the HUD layout where you can individually select a HUD feature to disappear when in combat. For example, let's say you want the Quest tracker to disappear when you enter combat, so the screen is less cluttered: You go to the HUD layout, select Duty List, check the box saying "Combat Fade" and that's exactly what will happen. It will disappear when you're in combat and appear again when the combat ends.

Other features can be implemented such as transparency or reverse combat fade.

I think this would improve the immersion by a lot I'd love to make my Duty List disappear from the screen when I enter a battle.

I would love this. In fact, It would be excellent if there were both options to "fade while in combat" and "fade while out of combat". I really enjoy an extremely minimal hud so I can take in the visuals so currently I have way too many macros on a dedicated bar just for managing my hud....

That would be a pretty good addition. I usually play with the Duty List and a few other features off because it just adds to the clutter which gets really annoying sometimes. Being able to fade out my cross hotbar when not in combat or just when it's not being used is a nice bonus to this.

Sounds good and not hard to implement since the game already does internally some switch when entering battle.

Totally support this idea, I know when I'm roaming I turn off all HUD display and it just makes me appreciate the world and gaze upon the beauty.

This reminded me of an old cool FFXI ui feature I didn't realize was missing from FFXIV. In FFXI, when there wasn't any chat activity, you could set how long it would wait until the chat window slowly minimized off the screen line by line.

I like that, that's a really cool idea! However, if they were to implement a feature like this, I'd hope there is a feature that allows you to turn HUD's off when OUT of combat, and turn them back on when IN combat.

It also seems it would get a little annoying, having your HUD disappear and reappear after every single dungeon pull. I don't know though, maybe that's just me

One thing I would really love about this feature is that I can have my notification hotbar (a vertical bar I have right next to my character to show procs like Shield Swipe, Cure2 procs etc) auto-show itself when I enter combat, and auto-hide once I leave combat.

In fact I'd like to toggle more than just that notification bar. I'd want to hide my bar of gearset buttons because we can't change gearsets during combat anyway.

I'd endorse this if it goes the other way around too.
