I am just going to say it. Put the cards elsewhere like you did the Lightning Card. Its bad enough I have to spend an insane amount of points on gold packs to try and get cards with a crap RNG rate let alone the Cloud Card. I am frine with fighting NPCs and doing instances for them, but only in the triple triad tournaments and gold packs? Really? The platinum packs are as bad as the gold packs or not worse and you can only get some every two weeks if you are lucky or cheat.
How cheating isn't against the ToS I do not know. Even if you cheat, you will probably get out-cheated by someone with more friends, FC-mates, and alts to get the bigger point wins. I am only in these things to try and get the cards because I want to collect them, but its near impossible with the very low chance of platinum packs to get them, and my luck I will get Lightning cards, which I got from Tataru anyway. Only if I stop getting Shiva and Ultima Weapons which i went and got by farming their instances

FYI, if all you want is the platinum packs all you have to do is get a certain number of points, usually about 3-4k. I do this by playing the first NPC in the gold saucer and thrashing him until I've used up all my allowances ...
I know that goes against what you're supposed to do given it's a "tournament" but when nobody else plays fair I think I'm entitled to just play to get the packs =P
RNG of the Shiva packs is more garbage than the Baderon Tenfingers Packs. And you can only get them every couple of weeks. The
NPCs give less points and have falloff. At best you get like two at the end of the day, three at best from only NPCs. But then again that's really only 3 Shivas. What I want is them to release NPCs so I can grind these cards off of them and not have to wait 2 weeks for utter disappointment or spend hundreds of thousands of MGP and not get anything. It kind of broke my spirit. I just wanted triple triad cards to collect. Now I am on the verge of giving up
Why do people feel the need to try to address a forum thread to a specific person or group ; seriously. Especially when it's not even formatted as an open letter.

This tournament is completely broken. Even allowing 1-star, 2-star, and 3-players to play each other completely randomly without players knowing how many cards the other has grinded out is an amazing lack of foresight.
All tournaments should have "weight classes" where players are separated into brackets based on if they hold <30, 30-59, or 60+ cards because of this game's arbitrary restriction where you aren't allowed to use 2-star cards until you have 30+ cards and 3-star cards until you have 60+ cards.
Future tournaments should separate players into "featherweight" (0-29 cards owned), "middleweight" (30-59 cards owned), and "heavyweight" (60+ cards owned) so 3-star players aren't beating up 1-star players for their lunch money. Even with Plus, the average 1-star player isn't going to beat a 3-star player, especially if the 3-star player knows how Plus works too.
Lightning should be added as a drop from NPCs or a Primal/dungeon after this tournament so everyone has a chance to get her if they want her at this point. The tournament is joke in terms of actually determining who the best 3 players on the server are and awarding them a prize they deserve.
Honestly, I was expecting divisions. Something like dividing up players into groups A, B, C, D, E, ..., and then using the current format to determine who moves on to the next stages and repeating until you have your top players from each division. Forcing pairwise matchmaking doesn't work because of time zone/play time differences, but breaking the players up and letting them play only against other players in the same division would greatly slow down cheaters trying to use friends/alts for win feeding.

anything thats not completely random matches via a roulette type feature will be abused if you can see who else is in your group can /tell them offering to pay for winsHonestly, I was expecting divisions. Simply having multiple stages would remove most of that, as characters used for win feeding would immediately drop out of the tournament in the first round. Easiest way to cheat is to use friends/alts, not random people who are likely to drop by the end or may not even sell you a win.

eithier way its broken n needs to be fixed asap im sure seeing how this tournment has turned out wont be long b4 somethin is implemented i stopped participating asoon as i saw win trading lolSimply having multiple stages would remove most of that, as characters used for win feeding would immediately drop out of the tournament in the first round.
