Nope.
The oculus rift (least I think that's the one) is only going to be compatible with games that support it afaik.

Meh, screw Oculus. Completely lost interest when Facebook bought it out. Sony all the way for me. I just hope its not just compatible with Sony consoles, even if its not 3D.
P.S its set for release early 2016.
Wha? Why would someone request that be removed? It was optional wasnt it?

Probably because most of the people who wanted to play in first person did NOT want to have to deal with things like head-bobbing, body and weapons obstructing view, and so on and so forth. I don't know for sure, that's just my guess.
More realistic, but harder to actually PLAY.
Going full-on .hack could be cool, but plz no soul-sucking quasi-AIs. And while we're on the topic, plz no brain microwaving (Sword Art Online). That's just rude...

whats lineage had said, most requests claimed the chocobo heads were in the wa when raiding the chocobo, and when you are fighting this included animations like dragon kick or etc, where your head would fly around due to the animation of the character, so the first person was reworked into the screenshot friendly thing it is now. though there have been requests to bring back the early beta first person mode, :c
Sometimes you just got to have Some fun

I remember:
Welcome to the club Sony
