I'm trying to find a tactic to beat him consistently, currently I can't beat him more than 33% of the time, especially if I'm the one to start.

Edit: Went 8 wins - 11 draws - 3 defeats (22 games in the 6am-11am Eorzean Time window) with this deck:

If you're first to go, play Bahamut bottom right, other cards top right. Then pray to Chaos RNGesus

Went 8 - 6 - 5 and finally got it (along with 7 Ifrit Cards and 2 Alphinaud & Alisaie cards)

Hopefully that will help me in those Random games vs Rowena & that south shroud dude.
This strategy does work pretty well.
The best general method seems to be to put Bahamut in bottom right, then in general, fill from the top, right to left.
I would say potentially replace Titan with Ifrit, since you are typically more concerned about your left side than bottom.
    And 2 personal observations.
Really your biggest threats with this method are Shiva, Louisiox, and Namo.
Shiva will take any card since you have no left facing 8's. The one card she cannot take from above is Bahamut. The same is true for Louisiox, though he is more vulnerable on the sides.
Honestly your biggest threat will be Namo. Her A top will take out any of your cards. And he usually has Namo, but either plays her first, or near last... Chaos right?
If you do not see her after 5-6 turns, it may be wise to play defensively and limit what that A will be able to hit. At that point you may want to switch to a bottom up approach, to neutralize that A, while sticking to the right side, to neutralize Raubahn's A.

That said, I would say that thanks to this deck, and some luck, Ive got my Raubahn card... so goodbye Swift, I'll see you on the battlefield, but never again at the card table!

Finally managed to get Raubahn off him, after battling against this guy for over 40 times, I lost count. I have no idea what deck I used, probably the recommended one or scions. All I remember was that when it actually dropped I shouted SCREW YOU SWIFT!! and said I'm never playing cards with you again and ran off glad it was finally over. lol

It's been a few weeks since I last played Swift since I already have all his cards. But I do remember at times when you try to bait him he'll bait himself without trying to take your cards. If your still on 2 star decks use cards that have a 7 on a side to take his cards, but also retake your own.

my deck was Ultros, Blue Dragon, Thancred, Nero and Hildibrand and I played right to left as aggressively as possible. Only had about a 30% win rate, but got it after a while.
