    - Brings previously economically inactive players to the market
All things that can be fixed via not including RMT into the game and using other methods instead. This isn't a problem that can only be solved through an RMT system. You're using he nuclear option instead of more reasonable approaches.

Back to insults again? Still doesn't seem to be working for you.

I'm with Chrillix. Not going around for round 2. You're ignoring valid concerns around the board and refusing to even acknowledge the valid points made from the other side. (You literally won't respond to the good points and only pick the minor side points you think you can nit pick to talk about instead) Then you actually have the balls to act like no one gave you a single good reason. An argument with a wall would be more productive. You'd probably only be happy if you talked and we only listened and nodded.

Let us step back and think about this with relevant evidence.

Both systems work, both systems work well.

    Under specific conditions.

    So... before we move on...

Do you have any examples of a formerly P2P exclusive MMORPG that added a F2P feature and isn't now bleeding subscriptions?

It would be good to have a model of how this will affect the game under those conditions rather than comparing apples (Eve) to oranges (FFXIV).

It's pretty similar to the wedding items people sold for gil. Only that the wedding market dried up because most people who wanted to get married already did. But with being able to sell sub token the market would never dry up.

A lot of wedding bracelets were sold for gil and nothing really bad happened with it.

Severe inflation happened on the most active markets. At the time that happened to be materia for Novus, if I recall. then it subsided when demand for weddings died off, in spite of novus demand remaining high...

Re: Just because a handful of people hold most of the gil doesn't mean they won't exploit lessers when they get a sudden infusion of gil.

    3. Crafting/gathering materia for the above gear (ranges from 20-350k each on my server)
    4. i110 accessories for coil (used to get dual main stats for advantage in survivability)
    5. DoW/DoM materia for Zodiac/accessories (ex. 11+ savage crit 4 @ 400k each and 8+ savage det 4 @ 400k+ each)
*6. Minions (some ranging from 1.5-4 mil each)
    *7. Vanity Weapons/Gear
    *doesn't help you achieve anything
    Not limited to that either:

Buying coil runs for the best gear
Buying out players to give you a pony

I'm sure there'll be a temp surge in prices due to people with expensive items selling them at even higher rate, but eventually prices should go down, maybe even significantly due to so many people having HQ melded crafting that allows them to actually make these high end gear

A lot of people here don't seem to understand simple fundamentals of, "Supply and Demand." When new or rare items are released, demand is going to be high, so forager's set the bar on prices. As Demand dwindles, prices will begin to fall. (inb4 materia: Yeah, there's a lot of people still working on relics.) I don't know where the logic is behind, "This is expensive, so let's just get more money." That will just set the pace for inflation with a vicious increasing cycle.

So on topic: I don't feel XIV needs this system. The people I know who have lots of gil, have been smart about spending, saving, and persistent in their fiscal endeavors, so it's not about the 1% holding everyone else back. It's about, stop frivolously spending and work harder.

Oh, and in regards to the wedding thing:
Yeah, just because people were doing it, doesn't mean it was acceptable. It was tolerated for this instance and they said that continued abuse of this system would result in them rethinking implementing things like that in the future.

Exactly. It can be considered a viable test model for what OP wants. It was heavily exploited.

What lessons were learned here, OP?
