    Need Help..

I need help....! I reached level 50 but I missed some of the story line and I suck in the dungeon...I don't have the right equipment ... I just joined a company (At level 50)and didn't get all the great weapons and armor for a tank. Do you know if I can power up quickly or find some decent armor and a weapon, also I just got a chocobo at level 50....bummer...this sucks, do I need to go back and complete all the levequest to achieve warrior?

No need to post again--as said elsewhere. Don't start over, don't worry about levequests.

Keep doing your main story quest until you get to the level 50 ones. If you have a little gil to spare, you can buy level 50 whites for gear and a weapon (the low ilvl ones) and that will serve you until you start getting tomestones or gear drops. If you're short on cash, well, stick to your quests. You get bits of equipment from your class/job quests (make sure to finish those) and I think the story gives equipment here and there too.

Just keep at it and you'll get there ^^

Sorry for taking so long to reply... not always browsing the forum.

Well, so if you complete all your job quests you should get, for your left side, i50 or i55 gear in the form of job gear, usually called AF. That's a good start.

For your right side (accessories)... there might be some battlecraft suppliers in Coerthas or Mor Dhona, but it might be easier to just look at the market board. The high ilvl stuff will be expensive, so instead look for stuff that, when you inspect the gear, is around i55 (i45 is fine if it's the easiest to get).

For a weapon, check out your grand company and you should be able to get something i55 or so to tide you over until higher gear levels. Actually, you can also buy "militia" gear from your GC to fill in what your AF gear doesn't cover. All this gear costs seals rather than gil. You can get seals from completing your grand company hunting log (open the hunting log and click the icon that looks like your GC. Red if it's Maelstrom), FATEs, some roulettes, and turning in old gear to a GC NPC (look for supplies and provision quests, then click on the Expert Delivery tab).

So, hopefully that will get you every slot to at least a minimum. Now where to go from here?

Main Story roulette. This will unlock once you complete the main story dungeons, so definitely knock out those main story quests. You'll get 120 tomestones (soldiery as of the current patch) the first time you do it each day. If there's a new player (usually is), you get 100 bonus tomestones.

Now what do you do with these? There's an NPC in Revenant's Toll (Mor Dhona) that will trade them for i100 gear. So this is probably the fastest way to catch up to existing players (but the guide I linked in the other thread has alternative paths).

At this point the game gets very social, so if you're not in an FC already, I would recommend finding one to work on content with.

I know it's a lot of reading, but here's the guide again which is very thorough on stuff you can do, what kind of gear you get from it, and so on. (I should probably add this to my sig...)
So you just hit level 50 in patch 2.5

Market Board. Alternatively, get yourself to Mor Dhona or the Ceruleum Processing Plant in Northern Thanalan. But you'll get lots of good stuff just doing your class and job quests.

You also don't need of level equipment for quite a long time if you're as far behind on your story quests as you suggested.

    Yes!
You have gladiator at 1. Go back and get it up to 15 (preferably 22). You don't need to spam levequests though. The hunting log and starting gladiator quests should get you up to 10 pretty quickly. Pick up some gc leves also, so you can start building up your gc seals.
Once you get gladiator to 15, go pick up the warrior job and start those quests. You will immediately be level 50 warrior so you can run through the quests as fast as you can do them. The level 45 and 50 warrior quests will give you some better armor.

Other than the market board you can get basic armor and weapons from vendors in Mor Dhona.
While you are working on the other quests, start increasing your gc rank. If you can get to max gc rank you can buy lvl 55 weapons from them. Otherwise your only source for those is the market board and 120k will not be barely enough.

Also take your chocobo to Camp Tranquil. There should be a quest there to use your chocobo as a fighting companion. This helps when going solo.

To turn your level 50 Marauder into a Warrior, you'll need to get a few quests further in the Main Scenario quests (up through level 20 Slyph Management) if you haven't yet, and get Gladiator up to level 15. Then you can do your Warrior quests (all of them, since you're already at level 50). You'll also want to continue Gladiator up to level 34 and Pugilist up to 42 at some point for Warrior's cross class abilities. (The GLD level 22 one, Provoke, is especially helpful.)

To then unlock endgame content, you have to complete the Main Scenario quests. Since it sounds like you're way behind on this, it will be your main focus for quite a while. I'd suggest combining this with leveling up your GLD and PUG for cross class abilities. Level one or both of those to whatever level you left off at on the Main Scenario, and then use those classes to do the remainder of your Main Scenario Quests. This way the quest XP can go towards leveling them. (Or at least use them until they reach the level 34 and 42 goals you want for your cross-class skills. For the last few levels worth of quests, you could go back to your Warrior if you prefer.)

As it seems you have a lot of catching up to do, I wouldn't worry about your MRD/WAR gear for right now. You'll be doing a lot of lower level quests until you catch up in the Main Scenario, so you mainly need gear that matches (or slightly exceeds) the level of questing that you're at. Pugilist will need separate leveling gear than what you used as MRD, but that's about it. If you do want to upgrade your MRD/WAR gear anyway, you can either purchase stuff from the Market Board or you could try hunts to earn Tomestones and Allied Seals that can be traded for some nice endgame gear once you accumulate enough of them. (There will be other ways to earn tomes later, but I believe hunts are the only way that's not locked behind finishing the Main Scenario first.)

The A and S rank hunts aren't locked behind the main scenario but the hunt board is. There should be regular hunt parties running around that you can join in the party finder.
