Any recommendations on easing Zodiac drop pains?

I've had horrible luck so far. Got 3 drops, yeah, but nothing else in over 30 runs. I have all the sol items, the Bombard Cores, everything except these damn drops. And it is depressing after a while. Same thing happened with Atma as well.

Any strategies/recommendations on making it, well, not so depressing?

It is probably always going to be depressing, but I found working on multiple weapons is less depressing, at least your are building light while farming these crap dungeons.
I'm currently farming the zodiac item set for my SCH which is currently also doing nexus light building:
PLD - Mahatma light building
BLM - Mahatma light building
SCH - Nexus light building

And also I tend to queue for different dungeons instead of farming the same ones over and over again, and always have Join In Progress on - you can get drops from in progress runs.
Having 1 of each tank/healer/dps helps the queue

I'm in the same boat, I've only had 2 drops so far. I've found that I simply cannot stand running the same dungeon a few times in a row so because I have a few of them unlocked for the moment (still need to get some more soldiery for the water), I'll go through, finish one and if no drop just move on to the next.

My only complaint, and it's nothing to do with the players, is that I'll keep getting instances with new players and I really shouldn't but I get frustrated because the dungeon isn't going fast enough for me lol

This may not be overly helpful, but hunker down and accept the fact that RNG hates you. I went into all my runs expecting to get nothing - so I wasn't disappointed when I didn't get the drop and I was happy when I did. It sounds corny, I know, but changing my point of view helped calm the rage of it not dropping. I started to enjoy the runs more because I was there to have fun, and less focused on the end drop.

Also, Netflix. Lots and lots of netflix.

dont know if its right or not but i just queue for 5 dungeons i need zodiac drops in and hope for the best when completes lol

I find the biggest downer to be the few pre-50 dungeons, as they generally take so long compared to most others that people are familiar with to speed run.

Still on Aurum Vale at the moment after it took 12 attempts at DD to get my drop

Depending on the dungeon, get some i49 equip and focus on soulbinding.

if you do a Sac pull all the way to the Boss rooms those pre 50s take about 10 mins at most. had to do DD like 7 times.

I honestly felt my mental well being give out at about 0/34 Stone Vigil HM. I was about to start crying. :/

Easing it? Go do something else when you feel you're about to crack. Go eat something or just ...do whatever else that isn't filled with RNG pain.

What's getting me through my Zodiac grind...
1) Grinding light for my other Novus at the same time.
2) Working my crafts to 3-star at the same time.
3) Triple Triad/Chocobo breaks.
4) Using loot drops to get GC seals to preempt the items for the other quests.
5) Not running the same dungeon over and over (this is seriously where the burn out happens).

Basically... diversify. The more you do along side the grind, the less the grind wears you down.
