I didn't know - granted I soon learned to look everything up. I haven't been playing all that long. I just don't like to see anyone taken advantage of - don't see the harm in seeing things marked as vendor items. At least people would have a clue then, and could look it up if they wanted, and make informed decisions.

It's funny what people will pay for a lvl 1 Weathered weapon/tool to outfit their retainer with for ventures.

Ideally, but that's not always the case. Players buy from the marketboard for reasons other than simple ignorance. If you experienced some sort of buyers remorse (as we all have), just take it as a lesson learned and move on. I'd recommend focusing on making a profit to make up for your past revenue loss.

Fun Fact: it seems that all of the NPC vendors are documented on the Lodestone website, and also the FFXIV mobile app. The information is out there. It's up to the individual to go out and find it. However, that choice is ultimately up to them.

if you search for anything in game it will tell you were to get it, well vender items at least.

also tells you needed mats for all recipes and info on fates and the like..


actually its just an encyclopaedia of eorzea.. best general info resource we have.... theres even an app for it.!!
