Warning: GATEs don't work on PS3

I have a ps3 and i can do all fates with no problem except the cliffhanger ones, it just takes longer to complete, and for the vase off i just stand there waiting for the npc to load so i can move.

In cliffhanger the one of the mountain i run and hope to get to the top which i eventually do but the one of the cactuar is practically impossible/frustrating because I get trolled by bombs that exploded long ago and bombs that i don't see and explode on me 3 at the same time and start to crash the wall like some kind of enemy hit by the kugi punch from toriko

You have to hope one of those bombs will push you onto the finish platform lol. That happened to me once, it was awesome.

I've succeded on every GATE (except Typhoon one, but i'm not a lucky guy) i tried on my PS3. Even the cliffhanger and the thieves' one.

They should fix this by separating the users not all need to be in same area when going there.

Ps3 players should go golden saucer Ps3 only
ps4 players golden saucer Ps4 only
Pc players golden saucer PC only

When you leave golden saucer then its back to all again, though not sure if that is even possible.

They should just drop support for ps3, its hardware is severely outdated. No one should complain when something doesn't perform right on it, they should be jumping for joy that it manages to run on it.

Worst operating device + hugely overpopulated server is going to have a lot of problems. Everyone has to be on Balmung, I wouldn't even think of being on that server with a ps3. They need to have an extended character creation block on that server (incoming rage)

As time goes on, less people will be doing the GATEs.

Of course it's crowded now, it's brand new.

Of the 4 GATEs I've participated in, all of them suffer from such a severe level of lag that it becomes nigh impossible to complete as you literally cannot see the NPCs load in for a few seconds too long.

I am on Balmung, am in the US, and as stated, on PS3.

What's bewildering to me is that FATEs, even in populated areas like Mor Dhona, never have this level of severity in the lag, so my only guess is that there must be a few HUNDRED players running around that literally never load in on my system. Which is a shame as my fellow FC members seem to enjoy a few of them quite a bit.

It's sadly because you're on one of the highest populated servers and running a PS3.

I'm on Sargatanas and running PS4 and while everything runs smoothly, all the player characters during the Event Square GATEs won't even load for me (which is fine because I don't need to interact with other PCs during those events.) So yes, it's extremely likely there are hundreds of other players around you that the system isn't loading because its trying to prioritize what to load.

Once you upgrade to a PS4, your loading issues with GATEs should mostly disappear (although I still recommend turning off other players spell effects while in the Gold Saucer currently because even the PS4 has issues rendering that many particle effects at once.) Although over time, the popularity of GATEs and the GS in general will probably start to wane, so your issues will also disappear with time.

I'm on ps3 as well. Other than not being able to see every dancer in time of your life I've no problems at all. I don't deny the problems other people have but I never seem have the problems people who start these ps3 problems threads have. I don't even have a hdd thingy whatever it's called lol. Well... except for the character limit and the infamous Odin and behemoth fates of course.

I'm on PS3 and with Vase Off I don't ever see the NPCs. And for the dance one, the NPCs on the ground (if they even exist) don't load, and halfway through the event the above ones finally load, however won't emote. They just stand there. I have to rely on people telling me the moves so I can complete them.

There are still millions of people using a PS3 - same to me.
I will stay on PS3 till its really "outdated" and even gone from the shops! (Maybe in 2-6years, maybe never)

And no, Im not poor as you probably will think now. I just have no interesst on a PS4. o_o
