I really hope it takes a lot...

Else, serious troubles could happen....I mean, when I finished leveling all, many people asked me "So what now?"... And that what now is just.. Gear, gear them all... But even if I'm grinding all their relics (Else I'd get bored, and, hey, need to give soldiery some use!) and also grinding crafters and gatherers stuff, all is always reduced to the same, get gear, get gear...

I'd like to see some progression transformed into leveling and get exp, please, make it so level all my clases to 60 will be eventually a challenge and not just a 3-4 weeks task.

Only thing I dislike a lot so far of FFXIV is that the progression is all entirely based in items and gear, except PvP and the skills+traits, but, sadly, they are not doing it to a big scale and also in PvE... We should apply that cool system to improve and personalize, (Wait, have to put the magic word in bold), personalize our skills and traits even more!

Make it something like really using your role the way FFXIV taught you when you were doing your class quests (ie CNJ would lose battle if an NPC die because CNJ focused dps on main mob rather than healing NPC).

So, in certain battles, there's something that trigger for each role to handle specifically:
8- to 16-man battle. MT get's protected by the OT from adds. One healer has to focus NPCs' health. DPS can only damage a mob that is of the same class (OT protects MT from strong add while MT tanks boss. Strong mob is DRG, so DRG and tank need to work that add).

If DF, must contain a minimum of one of each job (no classes). Like FATES, you NEED to contribute or you get no credit for the win.

I don't think it will take as long to level from 50-60 as it did from 1-50 but I also don't expect it to be done in an hour either. It will probably take half the time if I were to guess. They'll probably want you hitting level cap by the end of the expansion main story just like 2.0 and I don't expect the expansion story to take as long to complete as 2.0 either.

If yes then in case someone dont lvl all classes earlier or simply start the game in Heavensward it will be like double work to do, ind if someone start play Heavensward and want all classes bring from 1-60...... :/

If someone play FFXI can share how that looks like in this previous SE mmo? (i know that FFXI got few rxpansions)
FFXI got a level cap increase from Vanilla -> Rise of the Zilart, from 50 to 75. This is where NA players began playing, so we always capped at 75. Every expansion after did not raise the cap until Abyssea came out and pushed it to 99. Correct me if I am wrong?

I too am hoping for a long level period, but I am not raising my hopes up.

In FFXI, when they originally raised the level cap, each new level added greatly inflated the amount of exp needed to complete. Meanwhile, mobs were dropping the same amount of exp that they always had: Monsters your own level granted 100 exp, and monsters above or below your level raised or decreased the same amount. Essentially, killing a monster (pretty much the only way to gain exp in FFXI at the time) filled a lower and lower percentage of your exp progress-to-next-level bar, the higher level you were. In FFXI, once you reached level 62, you had obtained approximately half the total exp you needed to get to level 75.

I do NOT expect them to follow the same pattern in this game as they did in that. In FFXIV, the game is much more endgame focused. Everything prior to level 50 is pretty much just a tutorial and can be breezed through pretty quickly. I expect the journey to level 60 will be much the same way - just long enough to get folks used to the new abilities and traits they'll get along the way. Very likely, it will be paced just right so that players proceding through the Main Scenario will get most of the exp they need just by doing Main Scenario quests, along with the occasional dungeon (just as was the case for the original Main Scenario with folks on their initial jobs).

Comparing the time it took to level in XI to this game is pretty flawed for numerous reasons, most of which were already posted here but there was an additional thing in XI that made leveling take even longer than just the imbalanced scaling of exp. in FFXI if you died, you lost 10% of your exp for your current level, unless this was mitigated by raise, which we not exactly easy to get back in the day. This made any death super punishing, as you lost exp progress with any death and could even De-level.

Didn't they say that the story will be shorter, and will follow a yearly + patch/3months?

I really hope not. This three-month wait between MS updates is getting really old, especially since they never seem to follow through on anything without letting at least one other storyline happen in between. We have so many dangling plot threads going now that I'd really like to see most of them get wrapped up before going back to the episodic format.

The level 50 and 55 quests from Maat are soloable, dont need a party just sneak invis and collect the 3 bits from each area. 55 quests, sneak invis close to the mobs and run past, click the shiny and run out, very short tether on em. Sneak/invis to the next one. Next one is harder as theres a bit of prep work involved for key items. Then they become easier still. Farm them Kindred seals XD

The limit break to 65 quest is soloable also, invis/sneak and watch for those true sight/hear mobs. Last part can just run to the clicky.
