if i recall what i herd from the fanfests correctly i beleave yoshi-p said the levelling from 50 to 60 will be thee same if not harder then 40 to 50 (i also think we ware going to lose our (+50%) bonus as well until we hit our first level 60

How does it make sense for 10 levels to take as long as 50?
51 will require slightly more xp then 50 did, 52 will be slightly more than 51, and so on. I'd be surprised if it was otherwise.
(You can even see how much xp is needed to go to 51 if you look at your xp bar on a maxed class right now, though that might change.)
i beleave he meant it more as a the time it takes in relevance to where we are, were now I120 to i130 people so we are going to have to fight some monsters that were as tough as the level 40 monsters when we started :PHow does it make sense for 10 levels to take as long as 50?

then again saying that with the amount of dungeons we have i actually wonder if some people will just farm Btryflox hard stop, since that was farmed under 5 mins D: all the way up to 60 :c
EDIT BECUSE I DONT WANNA MAKE A NEW POST o3o:
true D: with the amount of level 50 dungeons we have and how some are easily farmed i can only imagine the new level 51 (guessing the level) dungeons being the only true way to gain experience
though i wonder if there will be a daily roulette? and how they will keep that separate from peeps who don't have heavenward
Daily roulette: heavenward?
daily roulette: expert 2.0?

Betting the level 50 dungeons will give a very small amount of experience, if any.i beleave he meant it more as a the time it takes in relevance to where we are, were now I120 to i130 people so we are going to have to fight some monsters that were as tough as the level 40 monsters when we started :P

Both. Leveling is content. It should be fun and engaging. It should not be a gate to end-game, because if end-game is "where the fun is" then whats the point of leveling? Teach you how to use your class? Oh yea cuz spamming FATEs is exactly the right way to "learn" your job.

The thing I am more worried about is the job system. Right now you can't just have fun and level up a job you really like to try out. You will always have to level something else because of the cross-ability system we have.
When someone just needs lvl 4 for raging strikes, the next person needs lvl 34 for BfB. It is also not balanced.
We already know that new jobs won't have base classes. I would like to know if they still need other classes to function.
I feel like they do give xp, but is hidden or not accessible, since our level 50 bar don't go past zero xp anyway.
If you look at mobs in, say, North Than. Killing them at Lv50 shows no reference to xp gain, but switching to Lv49 does. So, I believe once the cap is increased, we'll see xp gain from current dungeons.
The only thing I can think of, is the new jobs will already have cross-class skills assigned. For example:
If Dark Knight (DRK) is to get "Flash" from GLD, it may already unlock upon reaching a certain Level (8+) and need to be set in the Additional menu.
I hope it takes a good while and makes us use the new content to do so.
Otherwise what's even the point of raising the cap?!
If it's just as easy as facerollable 1-50 journey I'd rather just get more endgame content and not have the dev team focus on something people can just smash through barely conscious.
