Spanish translation petition

Hi there Eorzeans

Since the spanish community is so large as the other ones and it's considered one of the main languages on the entire world, I want to say here that the spanish translation for the game has to be done... please!

That would be wonderful, I know a lot of players who doesn't play this just because language, and many other who play it but have to be asking continuosly for clarifications.

I support the petition, and firm in his day, I hope they see the post and reconsider at least that the game is subtitled, since we are many Spaniards in the game, even though we are spread across multiple servers, but they realize that we are many we play.

While I agree that a Spanish translation is a good thing, I am sure there are reasons why one hasn't been made yet. Typically, to my knowledge, Japanese games are mostly translated in English and any other laguages are specific situations. Because, while English isn't the most populated of laguages, it is the most widely accepted; which is both good and bad. Now while Japanese and English make sense for this game I am curious why thd other languages are French and German. I would assume it's because both are big in Japan along with English. While most people know Japanese has a lot of English borrowed words, a good amount also come from French and German, any word that is Spanish-y is usually Portuguese. Anyway, another reason I could possibly not see them translating it is because of the Umbrella Term of Spanish, Spaniard and Hispanic. Mostly anyone who falls into the Spaniard term would live in Europe, and either no English or French; English because it is very prevalent in Europe, and French because it is a close cousin to Spanish, the other being Italian. However, anyone who falls into the Hispanic term, would live in one of the Americas. If they live in South America, well SE may not sell that may games there so it would be a waste of resources to translate it into Spanish, not that they couldn't or shouldn't. Also, if they live in North America, the general consensus Is they should know English, since that is the main language of the country.

I hope I'm not indicating that they shouldn't make a Spanish language version, just reason why one might not exist.

Personally, the language hits my ear wrong. Though, I've been told, by a Spanish speaking friend, that a majority of the Spanish I heard, in my area, was "hillbilly-ish". That being said it's a personal issue, I wouldn't want to deny anyone the chance to play this game.

As Spaniard I'd like to see this game translated to my mother tongue. However I know some spanish people who doesn't want a translate cause of people would come. This game has a pretty good story and If I haven't to translate some often it would be perfect

The thing with spanish language is that in a country that speak spanish is somewhat different to another country that speak spanish. Spanish have different variations withing the same language. I think thats why is have not been translate and i really dont think it will ever.

French are unable to speak any language but their own, hence they needed a translation.
