Let's get some work on Chocobo Racing and clean up the interface and trim the bloat.

So been getting back into Chocobo Racing and Raising and....it's a lot of mechanics that don't really work together or are not explained well enough, which is getting really frustrating. Some examples:

Rank 240 chocobos are put in the same category as 300, which is extremely unfair without min-maxing (which only makes it quite unfair). It's comparable to a rank 1 chocobo going against a rank 60. Can be done, but dear god is it frustrating. This doesn't occur in lower ranks which restrict it by a range of 20 ranks (180-200).

Stamina is represented while racing as a percentage, Reraise is displayed as an integer, Stamina attribute is a seperate integer that doesn't eflect stamina (200 attribute in stamina does not mean 200 stamina in race...which is displayed as a percentage). Three numbers that are not uniform, and confusing.

How much does Endurance affect Lathered? How does it affect Lathered because it doesn't seem to actually affect how long it takes before Lathering occurs. Same thing with Cunning. What counts as rough terrain? What are the penalties for going over rough terrain.

Items are wildly varied in power. Hero Tonic and Stamina Tablets are absurd compared to Spiderwebs. Bacchus's Water basically means that you are going to lose without assistance as for the next 15 seconds you bleed stamina so fast your probably going to be limping to the end. And Choco Meteor. These items can make or break the race, and you probably won't have much of an input in this.

I would also like to see some gauges, like current speed and max speed and probably what point lathered occurs at. Since everything is done server end and feels unresponsive as hell, a lot of this needs to be given to the player so they can plan. Reacting is simply not an option in these races. Especially if you are like me playing on NA server from Australia (Godspeed OCE severs).

Also preferred weather could probably also be removed (or explained better than "your performance will suffer"). It doesn't really add anything, and there isn't any way to play around it.

Chocobo Racing has been in here for quite a while, now it needs to have a little bit of attention given its way, especially with all the newer players who might be trying it out.

When you have lag, every action is an adventure.

Reraise and Ease are integers and not percentages because they do not scale. They aren't the same effect as Cure, this is not an arbitrary distinction.

R240 problem is only an issue currently due to the high population of real players caused by Make it Rain.

Endurance increases the speed your chocobo can sprint at before becoming lathered.

Yes, items are strong, but there is some play to be involved with it. If I see a Water in the box ahead, I will take that box. If I see a spiderweb, I jump over the box and let the racer behind grab it. If I see 2 waters in the box, I jump that box, so the person behind me will also get watered. If there's an item I don't need, like sprint shoes, I can jump that to reduce the odds of a meteor appearing.

Ultimately there's a lot of randomness but the better player consistently wins.

Weather sucks, there needs to be more varieties of weathers and preferably they should change the course, not just give Foul weather birds an arbitrary stamina advantage.

I don't see a need for gauges precisely because everything is serverside, everything will be the same result as it was last race. If you can sprint flatout from the gate to the goobue in costa before becoming lathered, then you know next time by the time you hit the goobue, stop sprinting.
