What's the real endgame for you?

Hey guys, I'm interested in hearing about what your goals are in this game, most people I'm guessing will claim right off the bat that it's beating T13, bla bla bla, to me there's much more to it than that, because it's so heavily based on finding the right people more than learning the fights, I would say that for me, the real endgame is housing.

This is probably something really easy to have for most people, but I suck at making money, I'm just bad at it, no excuses, so getting a Large House with nice furniture and all would be amazing for me and would be like "Yep, I beat the game". This, of course, wouldn't mean I'd stop playing the game, I'd just get a new goal (All classes to 50, Triple Triad, Kirin, etc)

So yeah, what's your endgame, or, what's your goal for FFXIV?

You mean our long term goal? Well I like to gear up my tank and aim to be one of them great Tanks out there so honoring my skills as one and running a successful FC is a ambition I enjoy doing at the moment.

My goal? At least one zeta, two if possible. All eight Lucis tools and Mastercraft II books. Actually putting furniture in my house other than my delicious Valentione floorcake. And most importantly, finishing getting ehcatl sealant for all my offhands, and artisan gear, and never having to do another Ixali daily again.

I focus more on mastering a job than anything else... I had DRG as main for a very long time, and during that time I didn't really play that much on other jobs, and it's the same thing now with BLM(since a month after 2.4).

So... My goal every patch is to be able to put out a good amount of DPS on the raid bosses... But in the end, there is nothing better than beating the last turn of any raid with people you know. Whether that's T13 or T9...

EDIT: Now I have mastered BLM IMO, and I can't get better gear until my statics beat more of Final coil, so now I'm dusting off my MNK and gearing that up. Gonna be harder to learn, but I love learning a new job, and gearing it up. Another Zeta on the way in other words

Working on my weapon for WHM, crafting and gathering, doing every dungeon at least once, making pretty outfits with glamour, working on getting the beast tribe mounts, leveling alt jobs....I like to try a bit of everything :-) I don't care much for static raiding but I'm glad it's there for those who do.

real endgame ? I don't have time for that. I signed for a trip around Eorzea with my buddies, and it will most likely not end anytime soon. I still have a lot of fishes to get, T11-13 to beat, mounts and pets to get, etc etc....

There is always something to do when you care more about the trip than about the goal.
