    How do I do this?

I want the bunny costume, but there's no way I'm ever going to be able to stomach grinding mediocre mini-games for countless hours, day after day.

So I'm settling for just getting enough MPG to unlock the hairstyle that shouldn't even need unlocking in the first place.

What are some good ways to make MPG relatively quickly without making me want to kill myself? I'm trying the King Elmer thing now, but it's boring, slow, and memorizing a series of patterns the computer uses is awful.

Edit: I don't mean to sound negative or anything. I sincerely love this game, but the fact that every single addition is more grind added onto the grind that already is makes me crazy. Half of the Gold Saucer rewards don't even sound remotely feasible.

Chocobo racing, you get the race fast and they are always fun! There is a bit of luck involved in chocobo racing but it is still fun .

I've tried chocobo racing, but I always wind up coming in... not the top three and earning ~30-40 MPG for a sizable time investment.

I'd agree about it being fun, but the whole thing seems to control very clunky.

Even if you come lower than top three it is still only a flat investment of 10 mgp, it will always be a increase unlike Triple Triad where the match fee goes up and up depending on the difficulty of the opponent . I feel chocobo racing tends to earn you more mgp because of this.

triad is probably the fastest method. farm king elmer or the guy outside of mordona. get 100+ per game, and card drops

Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks the MPG grind is ridiculous, then. That's insane. I thought Relics were bad (I still haven't gotten my Atma, I can't deal with that crap) but this is ridiculous.

You can try the jumbo or mini cactpots and hope you win big. :]
or chocobo race spamming (At later chocobo ranks you get around 117 and higher)
You can also do the mini games for a quick 480 depending on the mini game

This grind is not for the unskilled lol.
GS grind = u can win and make progress or lose and go back a few steps.
I.e win 3 TT matches against king elmer but lose 10 times.

Relic grind etc. = you grind and grind grind slowly making progress but there is nothing that will give u "negative" progress.

So u can have all the time in the world trying to grind GS mgp but it won't do much if u suck at the games. Best advice is to take time and get good at triple triad, GATES or try the choco racing route and invest in it hoping the payout in the future will be worth it.

Also keep in mind that gold saucer rewards are not something that will be obsolete in three months. That place will most likely be the main theme park attraction for the life of the game.

I'm not saying the Gold Saucer grind is difficult. Very few things are significantly challenging in this game. It's the fact that it's a long, tedious grind that A) is so slow that it never feels like you're making progress B) monotonous and boring. The same can be said of the majority of other grinds in the game: Allied Seals, Relic Weapons, Leveling.

I regularly feel discouraged from even logging onto FFXIV simply because there are so many things to do, yet so many of them are just mindless, awful grinds that take months to complete. If I had absolutely nothing to do in this game, I'd play it more, simply for the fact that I'd feel like I can spend my time on FFXIV doing whatever I want, rather than always having to spend my entire play session dedicated towards achieving a goal that's so far out of sight that I can't even see it on the horizon. Ironically, I'm sure they give us all these long grinds to ensure that players sub to the game, because nothing can be done within a month's time. Yet for myself, all of the grindy content causes me to take breaks from the game spanning anywhere from 1 to 6 months. 1-6 months that I would otherwise have spent paying for and playing this game.
