    Stats Stats and more Stats

    I would like to find out when FFXIV will receive the Stats overhaul and actually make stats do something. At the moment you can increase any of your stats just about to 100 and not see a difference or maybe for one or two stats see a small difference. Are the changes for this supposed to come in 1.19? or 1.20? This has bothered me from the start of the game and now we have a mage in our LS that switches to Archer keeping his mage stats and still manages to do the same amount of damage as all the other archers who have their stats allocated towards melee stats.

    I know SE has plans to change how stats work and hopefully when it happens we will see physical changes to our stats via attributes page. 2-4 STR should convert to +1 or whatever attack on the attributes page and we should see this for what gets increased on each page. Also I would like to see a physical increase in battle if my stats better than the mage archers I should physically see myself doing more damage than he/she. If you would be so kind Bayohne or someone else talk to Yoshi and please give us some feedback on this. Thanks for taking the time to read my post, does anyone else have anything to say about the way stats work now and how you would like to see it work in the near future?

    I believe changes are slated for 1.19 (removal of PL system, introduce auto-stat-allocation leveling per class, and increase potency of stats) with finishing changes in 1.20 (replacement of auto-stat-allocation leveling with custom-stat-allocating leveling per class and tweaking of stat potency).

    Well they wasn't 100% clear on those last Letter from the Producer whether or not they was going to receive a boost or not. I would like to hear it from them about if or not this is the case and if we will see results both statistically via attributes page and physically via battle. This is important to several people I have talked with to actually see damage go up because of stats you have altered. Also I hope we will receive the more defined definition of what the stats do directly from them and a show of examples via Lodestone beginner's guide would be nice as well. Along with that would be nice to know which stat or stats would be the main stats and stat modifier for each class and/or class abilities.

    I don't want to go overboard with what I am asking but it is nice to be able to understand what everything does with a brief hover over explanation or somehow via in game menu.

    Yeah it'd be helpful & convenient to be able to see how much your attributes increase... based on the points alotted. Hopefully its like this by 1.20, and there are bonuses when you reach certain intervals in the amount of +VIT you have (for example).

    Maybe the next patch? Culinarians are basically useless until the stats mean more and only after that SE can design meaningful stat boosts from foods. It's all connected and thus it'll probably still take a couple of patches to see where they're going with these changes. The equipment wear is also a bit trivial before it actually seriously affects your gameplay.
