thoughts on the zeta glow effects?

Yeah, I liked how my summoner tome melted my face off in the combat idle pose too. xD

No, but seriously, I did like the nexus effects. The green flames on the pages (and the rest of the effects) looked cool. Apart from making the tome unreadable, I mean.

Very much liking my Apocalypse Zeta though.

A modest glow that doesn't obstruct the weapon, but rather adds onto it (like the aiming circles for yoichi, wings on nervana or the spiraling pike on longius).

It'd be so much better if the weapons themselves weren't ugly/generic looking

I quite enjoy my Nirvana sprouting wings. It feels more customized, rather than just being a generic glow. :x



That said, I do kind of miss my Nexus too. There was something strangely interesting about how overpowering it was.

The whm weapon looks beautiful! compared to previous versions, the Z glow seems to be designed to fit the relic and i like the effort they put on this!

Zenith/Novus sucked. Nexus sucked slightly less because the rings were a cool addition. I never used any of the Artemis Bows despite loving the design, because that sunray glow was so generic.

Zodiac glow is far superior as each glow is tailored to fit the weapon + some retain a form of their Nexus rings, rather than just cranking up the brightness and changing the color every iteration. And we can actually see the weapons for once.

I love it, at least I can still see my base weapon unlike that ridiculous Nexus glow xD

I don't hate it. The first few upgrades Bravura got extended it's blade in an aetherial glow rahter than just being an overall shine. Seems to be similar for Ragnarok.
I checked out the dyes and you can still see the colour of your choosing through the glow without much issue.

That being said, I'm glamour overing it with the l'Cie Bardiche to complete my image. Everyone in my FC hates me for doing it, but when you look that cool you just can't give it up.

I think they're the best glows since Zenith. Awesome looking without completely overpowering the actual weapon model

Zeta Sword is superior to Nexus Sword in my opinion. But -nothing- can be the look of the Nexus Shield.



The rune ring looks amazing as does the bright cross of light in the center. Love it!

any day. Nexus was hideously overdone. It made Curtana look like a lightsaber. The bow was even worse; it looked like a miniature sun that mysteriously fired arrows. I love this new low-key glow a lot better and I'm glad they didn't completely overdo it again because it would've defeated the purpose of the weapons being dyeable.

i always thought of curtana as more of a dildo
