I would've gotten the 10,000 MPG on Mini-Cactpot if I went with my gut instinct, but didn't. There was a row where I uncovered a 3 and a 2. I was thinking that if there is a 1 in the blank, I could get 6. I went with the 2 and two blank spaces and I was right the 1st time. The 1 was with the 3 & 2. Dang!

Just so you know, the mini cactpot is much like sudoku. There are 9 numbers and they each only come up once. If you already uncovered the 3 (that is absolutely essential for the 6, you can't get it without it), the only choice you really had was to go with your gut if you were trying for the 6. The other line the 2 was on couldn't have possibly given you it even if the 1 was on that line because the final number even at it's lowest would have to be a 4 and a 7 pays out pittance, you'd be better off going for a high number instead.

Wait, if that's true then my card counting skills could help me out. If there are only numbers 1-9 and each only appear once (Why didn't I notice this) then if I pick certain tiles I could reasonably predict the outcome of the remaining ones.

Yep, that's how you play the game ^_^

Just remember that not every prize is available on every card (the 6 is particularly elusive, combinations like the worthless 1-2-4 are the bane of many scratchers >_< ) and any of the remaining 5 numbers (not counting the free first number and the 3 you scratch) could be anywhere on the card with equal chance.

Generally, if you don't think you can get the 6, it's often best to go for one of the really high numbers like a total of 22-24. They tend to be slightly easier to find at least.
