    Mini-cactpot

Whats your approach to pick numbers in mini-cactpot?

I usually fill out one of the diagonals completely, if I like that total, I take it. Otherwise, I have at least 2 other rows(depending on where the starting number is) with 2/3 numbers revealed. I'll play the odds from there.

I did it diagonally, say 3 in the middle, and 2 and the corner bottom right. Use the diagonal option and got the jackpot! :O Now I don't have to do gold saucer, cause I got the Oasis Doublet, the only thing I wanted there.

You have to bear in mind that all of the numbers on the right (6-24 was it?) will never simultaneously appear on your card because you simply cant make that many additions from a 3 x 3 square with the numbers 1-9 where the rule is that a row of 3 gives you your final number. It's down to RNG which numbers on the right are possible to make from the order of the numbers on the scratch card, that's why it's called a scratch card. The morale of the story is you won't always have the 10,000 jackpot somewhere on your card.

I try to offset and look for the possibility of a 3/2/1 so if one of those numbers is revealed, I reveal a number next to it and if I still have tries left if I've revealed two of the numbers in a selectable row I confirm the last. If it is obvious that the combo won't be there, I try to math out the highest possibility based on what is revealed and choose that.

I just pick all the corners and see what pops! If a six is possible, I'll go with that. I blew it once already.

The thing about corners and edges is any number will only be in a maximum of 3 or 2 (respectively) lines out of the 8 possible, whereas the middle number will be in 4 (so that's half your lines right there). As such, I always try to go for the middle first, then corners for their 3 lines each (up/down, across and diagonal).

The only exceptions are when the exposed number is in the middle (haven't seen it yet, but if I ever do I'll just do corners probably) or if it's really really low and I'm hoping for a 6 (then I'll try a number next to it).

I took a good look at my card the other day, there was only one winning option over 100 (the cost of the scratcher), and it payed out 180.

I always scratch off a completed row just to see if it has any value. Today that strategy netted me 1000 points
