    "Player Casinos"

I'm seeing players trying to run "Player casinos" in gold Saucer on Leviathan server. I'm not sure this is allowed.

XXXXXXX: MLP Casino is underway! get your gil while it is cheap! 30k min-150k max /random: 680-860 pays x2, 861-940 pays x3, 940-998 pays x4! 999 pays x5!!! TRADE @ Gold Saucer Crystal

I took the name out but it should be easy to find out who it is in server logs.

I was under he impression that things like this were against the rules. Am I wrong?

Not sure why you think this is against the rules. It's in game currency for in game currency. If they were asking for real money, then yes, it would be against the rules.

It's not against the rules as long as all the casino rules are spelled out in game. It's easier to track if a dealer doesn't play be the agreed rules.

As stated before, this sort of thing is perfectly fine until real life money is involved. Gil to gil exchange is perfectly legit and no matter how it is done (casino, trade, etc), it is considered as an arranged agreement between two parties and people who skimp out can get in trouble.

Spamming in chat is against the rules. Scamming is against the rules. Anything said in chat is considered a verbal contract and if you don't follow that "contract" it is against the rules.

Actually, a post on reddit showed someone being jailed because it's potentially an easy way to scam, so they would prefer you didn't do it.

Just add 'em to your blacklist, easy enough.
