    DPS Mini-Game... Think it's about time :)

    Now that we have this fun place to pass time, wouldn't it be great to have a timed 3-5 minute dps mini-game, with in-game parameters to keep things fair, and maybe even a top-10 leaderboard (separated by job and maybe even iLevel)? We wouldn't even need prizes, the spirited competition would be enough. The only people that can see your score, unless it's a top-10, would be you and those in your party. Yay, or nay? Suggestions, opinions?

    I was thinking Battle Square was the one thing this game was missing to make Gold Saucer complete. Include the buff/debuff slots and give awards in MGP (or items like Cloud's Buster Sword for glamour).

    Still have memories of Battle Square, nice. What im talking about, though, would be more of a "test your might"-type of thing. Just a timed run against a dummy that actually shows us a score, no adds or things to dodge. Really, prizes wouldn't even be necessary if we could have our name listed for the whole server to see if we are top 10, but perhaps the number 1 spot gets to take a character photo that stays displayed above the mini-game and stays until a new top score beats it, I'd consider that prize enough.

    i think there should be 2 kinds of battle square

    1- player vs player kinda of 1
    2- gauntlet type party 1 against bosses/monsters with timer starting from the moment u enter challengin you to get as far as possible b4 it expires have it as a daily/weekly challenge :P

    Battle square, Ive been wanting this very badly.

    My concept of similarities (and changes) from the FF7 model-

    I think the reward should not be MGP, but BP (Battle Points), and they can only be spent while there. Once you exit the area, remaining BP are forfeited.

    The Battles would be a form of monster rush design (much like Skirmish from 1.0), where there is no time out of combat to replenish HP/MP/TP.

    There would be a roulette whenever the next enemy spawns, where handicap is applied. These modifications stack and remain active until the end of the chain.

    The enemies would be decided randomly from 2 or more pools, progressively increasing in difficulty, ending with a boss style mob. BP awarded scales accordingly.

    Matches can be performed Solo, Duo (including Chocobo), or Trio, (no light parties). Handicap potency, enemies and rewards would scale accordingly.

    The rewards exchangeable for BP will be more profound than basic glamour. It may include Difficult to otherwise earn Triad cards, Greens for Chocobo racing, unique components for building airships, a key part for crafters to construct their own mounts, perhaps even poetry-tier equipment.
