Unable to move due to an inactive officer

Is there absolutely no way to remove a bird from the stable if the bird isn't yours? We have an officer who is taking a temporary break, and if possible I would like to not kick him (even temporarily) from the FC. Also, do individual rooms need to be entirely torn down/demolished before we move? I tried googling this, but the most recent stuff that came up was from back in August, thanks in advanced.

Erm... we had similiar problems but don't recall how we solved... lemme get my friend answering if he recalls :/

Update: Ok we needed to kick em from FC. Bird will be out as usual, Items from room that cannot be removed get lost (like when u demolish the room) and rest will be at Calamity Salvager (I think this guy has your Furniture in that case).
The two members that needed to be kicked got a mail with explaination from FC leader and were back two weeks after

Like Werhusky said, the only way to remove his Chocobo is to kick him from the FC. All personal rooms need to be completely demolished before it will let you demolish your house. We had several inactive members when we did this last week, and we had to temporarily kick a ton of them.
