    How much would you like a Shoryuken style WS?

    As much as I have love for this job, the animations are lackluster. sucks that 85% of your WS animations are the same.
    I would obviously like many animations for it, but I would LOVE a Shoryuken style animation for a WS.

    What do you all think?

    Skill visuals are a major deception. Simply horrible. I would kill to see my kitty do any skill close to disgaea's over the top moves ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oK4cxf40VIg )

    disgaea has some absolutely smexy with gravy moves! but i honestly don't see how they would implement that into 14 sadly ; ;

    I would probably not use it.
    Too many games have used this type of animation.
    I'd rather just see some nice variety of animations.

    As for the current animations, Yoshi-P addressed this in a letter or interview.
    Basically he said the same thing, that the animations were repetitive and boring.
    So don't worry they should be getting an overhaul a little later.

    I agree with you that the animations are lackluster, but I'm not sure about seeing a "Shoryuken style" of animation for the WS's since I'm not sure what that is. Any new animations I see are going to be welcomed with open arms.

    Honestly i'm most looking forward to the rehaul of the pounce Animation XD I was all excited when i finally got it on my kitty. Then I used it and never equipped it again.

    You can use it to bust off monsters shells, but besides the incap its useless in normal situations because of the massive stamina hit and its more or less meant to be used as an opening move from behind on a mob.

    I agree with the fact that most weapon skills in this game are very lack luster, It seems to be because of the cross class nature of alot of the skills. If you look at the really neat looking skills, all are class specific. For instance Arrow Helix for Archers, Iron Tempest for Marauders, Luminous Spire for Gladiators, Seismic shock and of course the oh so awsome Simian Thrash for Pugilist. Seriously if you are wanting an over dramatic awsome skill pugilist is your class. Poor lancers pretty much get nothing imo. Chaos Thrust which should have looked like Penta Thrust from FFXI is 6 hits in the same motion and is over in like 1/2" a sec. Just looks like a vibrating spear lol. Btw if you look at all the above animations none of them would make a lick of sence with another weapon.

    My proposition to Square Enix is to not take the ability to cross class away from us. Just make abilties wile on the native class alot flashier and more dramatic, wile off class give me the same old hit used for the last 3 weapon skill animations.

    Asuran fist 's animation was nice tough . Same for dragon kick . SE should lower the normal hit impact .
