    Evade Animation

    I think it would be cool if we had an animation/effect when we evade. I hate staring at my midsection to see the little red evade word come up so I can use Haymaker/Jarring Strike.

    A cool animation or effect would not only make it easier to see when we evade but would look cool also. Maybe Featherfoot II could add a chance to auto counter when we evade. This would add a little something to Featherfoot II and give us a cool animation change at higher levels.

    Just a thought.

    there is a back step animation that happens when i evade with my character 60% of the time it animates everytime

    Can I also add, Mob evade seems to happen way to much. Dex doesn't have much effect.

    How can a giant squirrel standing right in front of me evade 5 times in a row?

    Hmm I thought I would test this in a real setting so I went out in my front yard and tried to punch a squirrel in the face. I can't hit them at all.

    Sorry for the lame joke. I just kept picturing someone trying to actually punch a squirrel.

    If there is an animation for evade it must be pretty lame because I haven't noticed it. I think since it's such a big part of our class it should be very noticeable.

    For me I usually watch for the evading animation and not the text indicating that I evaded. Personally I think the animation is noticeable and rarely, if ever, miss hitting a haymaker or jarring strike because of it.

    Yea there is an animation for evade, not sure if it does it all the time but on my highlander its pretty damn noticable. One thing I would like them to do is turn party members evades a different color than red so i can always tell when I evade because sometimes I think I did but it was just the guy beside me. And be thankful we see the red evade at all, with fracture you just have to watch for the parry animation. I think if you have fracture on your bar they should give you a red parry too.

    I reacted to my characters animation evade at start too, but now it became real easy to watch for red EVADE letters and react on that, the new 3D text that they put recently makes it a breeze.

    too bad when you are in a big party and have a good number of people all standing in the same spot the red evade is gonna be showing up alot from the other people also.

    Should have a option to adjust the color of yours or turn other peoples off

    Yeah. The new battle text helps. However, one thing I hope they consider adding is darkening or "graying out" of the icons on the action bar for those abilities that can only be used after an evade, so they light up only during that 1-2 second window.

    This is exactly what I was thinking as I was reading down the thread. It would be so very useful to have unusable skills greyed out just like TP skills are greyed out when they can't be used due to not having enough TP.
