so for my chocobo it says like this...

so how exactly do we read this? and how can my chocobo have 4 different preferences?

Fair is the type of weather, and those three are classified under "fair". So your chocobo will perform better when it is Fair outside - Clear skies, sunshine, or heat wave.

It's just like a person saying "I like it when the sun's out, or when it's only partly cloudy. You can definitely like multiple conditions of weather

oh okay! i understand. however, i wouldn't consider heat waves to be fair. lol. and yeah, it is okay to LIKE multiple weather conditions. but you can't PREFER multiple weather conditions. unless you got like multiple weather machines and are actually capable of combining multiple weather conditions, or something. anyhow, with your explanation i can now understand that it isn't actually listing multiple preferences. but rather a preferred category of sorts.

My preferred category is stormy so my chocobo prefers rain, showers, or thunder. The three which seem to be the least common.... -_-

Do we have any idea what getting your preferred weather actually does? Are you faster? Lose less stamina?

Seems like you lose less stamina. One track my bird would lose all his stamina about 75% in without stamina tablets or potions, but in his preferred weather, he can sprint non-stop to about 90% of a lap in that same course.
