I love checklist spreadsheets, so I made one for Triple Triad. I used the data from http://ffxivtriad.com to create it.
Here's a link.
To get a copy you can edit, go to that link, then go to the file menu and click "Create a copy."
There are two tabs: one for cards, one for NPCs. On the Cards tab, put an x in the checkmark column if you have the card. As it says at the top, an orange background for an NPC/duty/etc indicates that it is the only way to get the card (counting different versions of the same duty as the same thing, such as Ifrit HM and Ifrit EX). Card stats are listed from the top number going clockwise. Next to the number of cards you've collected is a number of *s indicating the limit on four of your five cards. When your collection hits 30, it'll change to **, and then to *** when your collection hits 60.
On the NPCs tab, do not mark the far left "Done" column. Instead, if you've beaten the NPC at least once, put an x in the "Beat" column. There's a ***** card that you can get from beating 30 unique opponents, and the number of people you've beaten will turn gold when you've marked off 30 NPCs.
The cards that the NPC can drop will be purple if you don't have them and green if you checked them off on the cards tab. Once you have every card an NPC can drop marked off on the cards tab and the NPC marked as having been beaten at least once on the NPC tab, an "x" will automatically appear in that NPC's "done" column and the NPC will be grayed out.
In other words, the only thing you should have to do to the spreadsheet is to put an x next to every card you've obtained and every NPC you've won at least one match against, and the spreadsheet will do the rest.
The tier of the NPC denotes how much they cost to play, and also how much they give on a win. The rules indicate the fixed rules for that NPC - if you notice, all 1st tier NPCs (and the 0th tier NPC) have the "All Open" rule, and all 2nd and 3rd tier NPCs have the "Three Open" rule. No 4th or 5th tier NPCs have either of those rules. I found that interesting.
The Req column lists any requirements you have to meet to play that person, such as having Ixali rep at Rank 7 to play vs Sezul Totoloc. This column is incomplete and I'll update it as I hear of more requirements (for instance, I'd bet the Indolent Imperial requires you to complete the quest "The Ultimate Weapon," but that's hard for me to test).
The NPC card lists are currently blank. When I get the time, I'll add those later. Let me know if you have any feedback or if there are any errors on the page.
To update your sheet when new cards come out, I recommend following these instructions:
- Make a copy of the latest clean version of the spreadsheet.
- On your old spreadsheet, in the "Triple Triad Cards" tab, select all of column "A" (the one with all your "x"s in it) and copy/ctrl-C.
- On the new spreadsheet, in the "Triple Triad Cards" tab, select all of column "A", then rightclick and choose "Paste Special - Paste values only".
- Do a quick check to make sure the right cards are all marked correctly - I try not to rearrange the cards so this will work, but I did insert a card once that I had missed, so it doesn't hurt to verify the transfer worked right.
- On the "Triple Triad NPCs" tab, do the same thing, except with the "B" ("Beat") column, if you're tracking the NPCs you've beaten at least once for those achievements.
Changelog
v3.2.1 - Updated for patch 3.2 with all currently available information. Added all the new cards, added a ninth card to the Gold and Mythril packs, and put in all currently available information for the NPC opponents. NPCs will need further updating, particularly when someone hits Rank 8 with the Gnath.
v3.2.3 - Added exact quest names for Vath and Vanu Vanu opponent requirements. Still missing confirmation on the Vath Deftarm's drops and rules.
v3.2.4 - Added quest names for Sezul Totoloc and Mogmill. Still missing Wymond's quest and probably a few others. Added in some more win/lose/draw values (still missing a few, especially for the new ones). Added the details for the Vath Deftarm. Made the number of stars beside your collection indicating star limitations max out at three stars. Marked House Fortemps Manservant as being rank 3 (not rank 4) because he has the rule "Three Open."
v3.2.5 - Added two missing card drops from NPCs - Chimera from Fufulupa and Tonberry from Memeroon (thanks, Shisana!).
v3.5.1 - Updated with all cards up to patch 3.56.
v4.0.1 - Updated with all cards and NPCs from patch 4.0, but some cards lack how to get them and some NPCs are missing card drops.
v4.0.2 - Missing data has been filled in, and all cards and NPCs from 4.0 are all set now.
