Relic Weapon Question (Thyrus Atma) Ilevel

Ok i'm confused. I farmed all the Atma I need, all 12 pieces. I then went and had that NPC to upgrade it, and the relic weapon turned into Thyrus Atma, Ilevel 100. But none of the stats changed, (which i later found out doesn't when you upgrade it), and my over all Item Level on my toon, when from 97 to 95, and the weapon was upgraded? Does anyone know why this might have happen? I didn't change any of my other gear. I don't know why it went down. It was Ilevel 90, then 100, shouldn't my over all Item level on my toon go up?

I am not sure about the the decreasing ilvl but Atma weapon shares the same ilvl as Animus, which is the next step, that you can upgrade to by doing the books that will increase its stats by +2 per books. After you finished your final book, the Atma weapon becomes Animus weapon.

Yes. I did go an research the next step in the relic weapon quest/progress. And I have now learned what you said about the weapon, and I look forward to progressing the weapon. But I am still lost in why my Item Level went down. =\

This is after reequipping the weapon? when you upgrade it, it has to be unequip, which would explain the drop in overall ilvl

Yes. I UN-equpiped the weapon to get it upgraded, then after it was done, I reequpped the weapon, and that's when my i level dropped.. Just was confused.
