    "Random Rule" and deck limits

So it seems that when the Random Rule is in play, you are randomly distributed cards from your deck...buuuut it makes sure that your hand still abides by the deck limits determined by your max card count. Doesn't this seem a little unfair considering that every NPC gets to use several rare cards no matter what? Landenel keeps kicking my ass because he gets to use Ifrit, Odin, Gerolt and Titan every match while I get stuck with Dodos and Puddings...It's almost like -WE- have to abide by the rule but the NPCs don't.

Shouldn't it be true random and allow us to bypass deck limits since the disadvantage is that we don't get to choose our preferred deck?

Yup. It's a super pain in the butt. A few of us were talking about it in this thread: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...sn-t-So-Random

the entire concept that NPCs dont have to abide by the same rules as you do makes the game unfair, random rules or not.

I posted in the other thread but quite honestly this needs to be seen and looked into and fixed by the GMs/devs, whoever.

Right now it's barely worth it to play an npc with the random or chaos rule. Both are more or less blatant cheating by the triple triad system as most times it gives you worthless * cards against an opponent with a 3, 4, and 5 * deck, whose card list is so small as to be not random whatsoever.

Chaos just makes it hard to farm because you can't rely on set patterns, it's annoying to deal with, but not a game breaker. Random is the dumbest rule in existence because it does absolutely nothing to the NPCs that play it yet it destroys your ability to play against them.

If you watch a chaos game, you'll notice in most cases the NPCs play their cards in almost the same order no matter what. That's been my experience anyway.

I have to mirror a lot of what was said, with most NPCs having only 3* cards or higher the random rule is absolutely horrible. Also chaos is not randomly selected for the computer either. I was able to accurately pick what card they would use where 100% of the time.

At the moment TT just feels way to pubstompy unless plus is in effect, which can trivialize most games if open is also in effect.
