I am a pvp player who play different pvp mmo for my last 8 years. I am not a fanboy from with any mmo game because I switch the game to the new if i see there is/are som new feature I want to test out and that say it is also the reason I choise to try FFXIV and soon will be Tera for its aim & hit style, but lets talk about FFXIV game, its player and its forum.
1. The game:
a. Armory:
All can be all, a good system, flexibility that allow player can custome their skill to the class, but to much flexsibility will cut down the unique and this happen to effect all disciple in the game, in other words whenever you log into the game you ll see lets say 4k ppl play at the server that mean you ll see 3999 clone of yourself. Do you enjoy this ? I can tell you that I dont enjoy this at all, because it not worth my time and effor to study a job and put my effor to custome skill to suit the style.
Here is what I want to change in generals:
DoW & DoM
For this idea, it is strongly recommen to boost the guild ability to be useful accoring to job. And allow the guild ability to have special effect or special ability to other class.The game should allow player to learne all DoW and DoM but only allow player to earne guild mark from 1 job as the job the player pick from the begin.
exampler: player make a new char and choise the job as GLD, the player still beable to learne all other DoW, DoM skill and rank them up, but when player do r15+ quest and begin to earne guild mark, no matter what job the player do the quest with, the guild mark the player earne are only GLD guild mark
exampler: player start as CON. The player can buy special ability that enchanted element on wep for DoW class, and beable to heal 3/5 of CON healing power but no AOE
Why do we need to have limit in master 1 job ?
_ simple because it bring out the unique of the char and the job,and belive me when i say it fit this pve game, here is a exampler:
DoH:A pt doing a boss:
a: lets take a DD, we got PUG who can tank with heal.
b: no, lets recruit a GLD instead because they got <some kind of skill> that can hold aggro or do better against that boss, PUG can be DD
Will you be proud when you hear/read that, ofc you do, your time study about the job, your effor to rank it up worth it. But in the good side there will follow down side, that ppl will prefer this job more than that, but that is a minor problem, you cant get in pt with this group, find a new one or make your owm, its simple and it is not impossible.
Player should beable to learne max 2 job and master 1 just like DoW and DoM. This will also bring the unique to the craft and you will feel that ppl will need you , and ofc you will need other ppl too, that s what MMO is about this is not a OFFLINE game.
The game market is lack of the cirlet of enconomy atm, and what is the cirlet of enconomy ?
here is a exampler:
DoW kill mobs, sell mats & shard.
DoL gather mats & shard.
Both of em sell shard & mats.
DoH buy those mats & shard and begin to craft stuff.
DoW and DoL buy those stuff to gear up for better gather or farm.
IF the DoW or DoL become greedy and raise the mats price and shard, it will follow up the item DoW and DoL need will raise in price as well. (but the price can raise by DoH themself due to the large deman, but that is how business work cant blame any)

b. Mobs killingthe unique function dont work out at the begin of the game, its effect will feel strongly at end game where the endgame item require unique guild skill to gather or craft
I cant say much here, because I am only r15 PUG, where it is easy to complain so I will not say anything atm until the annoncement of Yoshida about the nwe battler system. Fainth in Yoshida
c. Aggro icon
If possible, please remove this system. After this system is apply I feel like i play a 10 years old game, to easy. Player should discover which mobs are hostie and which are not by themself though exp of play the game, not just log and know that mob are aggro. So please dont take this exciting about explore the world away.
d. Combat system
DoW:
There is no auto-attack ! Q.Q. I am joking, I dont like auto attack, the system atm is fine as it is but if I can add something into it, I d like to add combo system.
What is combo system and how it work ?
I think most of you have exp this system before in this or that way but I ll explain my idea
This system is technical just a seperate of skill. Here is a exampler (i take PUG as exampler):
Instead of when you use a skill, the char will do : left punch-->right punch---> upper cut with the cost of 1k TP.
The system can do it this way :
Left punch: deal 100 dmg tp cost 150
right punch: deal 150 dmg tp cost 250
Upper cut : deal 300 dmg tp cost 600
you place the Left punch skill icon in the action bar and use it.
after the Left punch is exercute and if hit, the dmg will deal and it consume 150 TP.
the right punch icon will now appear in the action bar and replace the left punch icon.
you use the skill again (same button) it will exercute the right punch and if hit the dmg will deal and 250 TP will consume.
and the same will happen with the Upper cut.
The good side about the combo is, player will have more exeiting when use the skill more than just press 1 button and that s it for 1 skill. The down side is, if the 1st or 2nd is miss, the 3rd will not beable to use. Ofc you can use it w/o fully 1k TP, you wont beable to put the last combo as the strongest.
e. Being able to remove the primary tool w/o any class
Atm, you wont beable to go around unarm, you need to have at least a primary tool in your hand, why cant we go around w/o ? I dont know if it anoying you guys as it does to me.
f. action bar, mark function, skill
action bar:
re-scale the action bar, let player choise to have it stay active or hidden, and can use more than 10 bars without switch
exampler: player can have 2 action bar (20 stos total) float instead of 10.
Mark function
I dont know if ppl who still play FFXIV notice the game have a mark function that help you to mark mobs to kill, to sleep/CC, to not touch while in party. I d like the skill being able to register those mark on my action bar like skill and not macro or have the emoticon bar up all the time. Make it register is more friendly nad easy than trouble all the way to make a macro just for the same function.
Skill
In this skill section, i take out the 2 most use skill in any mmo, in FFXIV or even FFXI: Taunt & heal
I dont understand why i need to click the skill twice to taunt a mob, atm it is like this : press skill ---> choise mob--->press skill again why cant it be like any other combat skill, target the mob, press the skill and the skill active and this apply to healing as well, why so much trouble some for a situation action ?
There are no AOE aggro ? where is the aoe aggro ? 1 of the most basic skill for a tank to tanking ?
And for healing, I d like to have single target heal & aoe heal seperate, and both have seperate CD, yes this will cause a bit more trouble in healing but that s how it is folk, healing need skill, it is not a I-can-spam button

2. The forum
I am do not try to hurt any feeling here, but if I do, I am sorry.
You guys Q.Q and complain to much and you guys are sooooooooo tradition, just like old geeze who afraift of the world around change. Come on this is FFXIV and not FFXI-2 , new thing should be welcome to apply in the game to make the game better and not throw it away, the thing that change in the game atm, dont harm the unique concept of FF, am i right ? if you can point me 1 thing (general system) that FFXI dont have in this game that ruin the FF concept.
After all that wall of text, if you read it I thx you, if you dont read it i thx you too for take your time and troll in my post. I am not a fan of FF, I am here write my idea and hope it can help in anyway to improve the game.
